Would you be William Wallace or Robert the Bruce.

Now all of us men wish we had the courage of William Wallace but how many of us actually do. My money says that most of us are more like Robert the Bruce.

And some of us are like the guy that pissed on himself before battle in, "Gladiator."

Im the crazy Irish guy from the movie, its MY ISLAND

WW and R the B were too serious, fatal flaw of the Scots and the British, act crazy, and you can change your positions while they are locked into theirs by there very nature.
Gots to a Pikey to understand men like that, then laugh when you take them for a ride

You do remind me of that character. He was in Braveheart also.

As Shakespeare wrote, and I paraphrase, a coward dies a thousand deaths, the brave man, just one.

If I had to choose between being brave and receiving a slow, painful death or being a coward and receiving a quick, painless death.... I gotta go with the cowardly way. Whatever way is the fastest with the least amount of suffering.

Well, depends on what you believe in and fought for. Sometimes as the movie Braveheart depicts, the way you die will define for eternity what you stood for. A mere moments of pain to make an undying point.
Look, he had spent many a long time watching friends and countrymen die in brutal ways.
No modern medicine then, limbs cut off, infections are the worst way to die.
So he was desensitized to pain and death back then was far more common and not as sanitary. I see it all the time at work.
I doubt, given the voracity of some of your beliefs you strive to be, that in the end, you would die a coward's death. You may initially choose it, but, easily talked out of being a coward. By a great leader, such as myself lol

WW by all means...no way i would have passed up on the opp with the "queen", and i would have taken her poison at the end...

I'm Michael Corleone

that's Corleonie to all you straight up anglos

cemetaries are filled with all kinds of men, death taking us all.

it isn't necessarily about choosing the manner in which you die (few of us could), but the manner in which you live.

that's what my fortune cookie said last night, and i'm sticking to it.
