If Arnold did not retire and then come back to win in 1980... Would he have won all the Olympia's From 1970-1980???

Most likely. You have to remember he was the Ronnie Coleman of his time. Back then he was the mass monster. At that time it was hard to beat his combo of mass, shape and cuts. Not to mention his stage presence and charisma. It's safe to say that if Arnold wanted to keep on winning, he would. That's what he does.

k to that...
besides a few guys in the top 3 arnold did not have really much competetion had he went on 76-80 .
I mean besides zane ,mentzer, franco and a few other in diff years at the o arnold would not have had much of a challange for god sake some ofthe guys in the late 70's were mike katz no challange at all.arnold would have beat them with eaze arnolds real challanger would have been lee hany be even the first few years lee had small calves and not that great of arms

Nobody can say for sure, especially a hypothetical. The fact is the 80 Olympia was rigged. Arnold didn't enter the contest until 1 day before the show because he knew who the judges would be, and they turned out to be his buisness partners. The new mass monster and face of BB was Mike Mentzer and he was said to have been the deserving winner by most if not all the competitors, even Frank Zane thought Mentzer should have won it. CBS didnt air the Olympia because they saw how fkn set-up and corrupt it was, even after they taped the entire show. Arnold won what he won and he was awesome, but 10 straight? I don't think so if they were legitimate competitions.

Mentzer had no right to bitch, he was 5th! I have the dvds, Arnold was the best that day and nobody booed or any other rumors I've heard on the net. Everyone was cheering everytime Arnold was on stage! But the whole line up was pretty weak anyway. One guy, I think Roger Collard (check sp) had gyno so bad, he had a TIT hanging down his right pec. It was a line up Arnold easily dominated.

I still think Arnold looks better than Coleman.

Arnold had that thin waste, pre-growth, waist, probably about 34 inches,

Ronnie’s waist is typical of today, too thick, for me.

Arnold still looks good, pushing 60,

when Ronnie, retires his waste is going try to catch that 60 inch chest.

I love Arnie. but he did not look very good in 1980 he was the smallest I had seen him.
I have seen the video also. they did love arnie. no booing cause he was famous everyone loved him. but my vote would go to mentzer only flaw would he his stash and his height. he looked awsome in 80

Yes. Now we are faced with the possibility of Ronnie setting a new record instead. Ronnie is top drawer, but Arnold was a pioneer of Bodybuilding and I'd hate to see his achievements overtaken by Ronnie. Just personal preference.

Arnold is the best and will remain the best for ever.
Just because he was an stunning massive athletic human being.

The guys that are dominating the Olympia now can be classified as mass
rhino's with their ugly bellies (most) and freaked out weight.
Nothing beautiful there anymore. I don't give a shit who wins.
These guys ruin the sport and give a bad example to youngsters.

I'm not mad at them, they do an outstanding job at building their body,
but if you ask me do they look good? I say: Nah...

I don"t care for the Mr.Olympia because we all know who"s gonna win before anybody steps on stage. When was the last time the title changed hands when the previous year champ was on stage competeing?

yes he would have won

and possibly beaten people today with his quality

Amen brother, HGH has really fucked things up. I don't care for the new looks. Bloated stomachs and huge waists suck. rumor is that waists are going to have to get smaller to win the shows, going back to roots

That Is True!! If the defending champ is there he pretty much always takes it I tell you what though Jay cutler has a lot of determination if he takes 2nd again and still stays active plus everybody will say he is not a true champ because coleman retired and Cutler never beat him straight up

Think about this one... A bodybuilder doesnt reach his peak till early 30's (or so they say)Arnold Started winning at the age of 21 and had 2 Mr. U and 6 Mr. O's Under his belt by the time he was 28!!! Now a days these guys arent even winning the title till they are in there 30's Arnold could of quite possibly stayed competetive for another 10 years!! and still would be younger than coleman is now!!!

There is only one Arnold. That being said, if you put Arnold next to say Dexter Jackson. Same weight almost, 6" shorter and 3" smaller waist. Arnold's waist was thin from the side and in twisting shots but he was actually hippy a bit which is comon in germanic hereditary. (Roland Kickenger, Gunter) Arnold was so far ahead of his time conditioning and mass and presentation. He knew his waist was wide from the front and thats why he always twisted. BB is very much illusion. but there is only one Arnold and there will only be one. I mean for shit sakes...he became a Gov of California! He is what Wayne Gretsky is to hockey and Jordan is to Bball.

Another thing about arnold, noone could do the vacuum like him and get that cut line across his abs, that was sick. Arnold is not the God, but he is A God.

You are forgetting the fact the basically quit training heavy. Instead he was hollywood training. At his time, he would have blew the competition away until the early 80's. Frank Zane (he sucked), the guy was less then 200 lbs and looked like Brad Pitt in fight club.

Yeah Arnold was at his smallest in the 80 Olympia, but just look at Frank Zane he was 200lb. We just get so caught up in weight and size nowadays that we forget that bodybuilding is also about SHAPE and SYMMETRY and CONDITIONING. In short Arnold had the complete package that day.
Something to think about is Menzer rolled over and quite like a little kid would in grade school. How many times do you think that Big Ronnie thought he should've placed higher before he became Mr Olympia, or what about Jay Cutler should he just quite like Menzer because he did'nt win?
Dexter Jackson = how many times did he get overlooked, BUT DID HE QUIT? NOOOO BECAUSE HE'S A TRUE CHAMPION!!!!!

You are way off, you are giving Pitt way too much credit.

I though Mike Mentzer should of won in 1980, however yes i think Arnold would of won if he carried on training through out that period.
