I would have have to nominate William Shatner Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds

and ... most of all ... Pat Boone doing Metallica's Enter Sandman :worried:

Nominations please

Anal Cunt - Escape (The Pina Colada Song)

Children of Bodom - Shot in the Dark

The Number Twelve Looks Like You - My Sharona

That's what immediately comes to mind.

There you go duder, enjoy!

Here's the winner..... well I don't know the name of the artist but they did a techno-dance version of Eagles' Hotel California.

That song is a true masterpiece and a timeless classic so they definitely went too far. I don't know the artist but I'm sure he/they've been shot already.

Now I will lock this thread. :)

There were quite a few Death Metal bands that did covers of Maiden and Priest tunes. Most were quite horrid.

Death's cover of Painkiller is better than the original. Yeah, I said it.

I don't know if it's better but it is one of the few well done covers.

RIP Chuck.

Absoloutly gonna agree with Flah here and say Children of Bodom's cover of Shot in the Dark was horrible. Fear Factory's cover of Cars wasn't a bad cover in the same way, it was just too like the original.

Korn - Another Brick in the Wall (as a die-hard Floyd fan, i was very pissed when i heard their shitty remake)

A perfect Circle - imagine

Actually, that dude wrote the song.

Who did that awful cover of The Beatles' "Across The Universe"???

Was it Fionna Apple or something to that extent? Either way it was atrocious.

I think Paul [someone] did covers of Eye of the Tiger and Smells Like Teen Spirit. Both were awful.

Guns 'n Roses' cover of Paul McCartney's "Live And Let Die" is excruciatingly bad.

Limp Bizkit "Behind Blue Eyes"

Very true, that was god fucking awful, especially being one of the greatest songs ever recorded imo. Sheryl crow did a zep cover with no lead guitar, that was horrible as well. I can't remember which one it was because i only heard it once, but it stuck in my mind as awfull.

Nigga please.

Axl Rose sounds like Ethel Mermen after chain-smoking two cartons a day. Slash has got to be one of the most overrated guitarists in history.

Mariah Carey - Bringing on the Heartbreak
Sprung Monkey - Thunderstruck

And I have an entire album of absolutely terrible Bon Jovi covers.
