working out while pregnant? yay or nay?

Ok, i'm pregnant with baby number 2 asks its only been 10 months since baby number 1 was born. I had alot of complications to where I had to have a c section, and still have a soar scar tissue to where it hurts to work my abdominals. Now ive been a twig my whole life and still am, how ever I would like to tone up again and also not gain a ton of weight. My last pregnancy I was honestly skin, bones, and belly was all I had. My daughter literally took everything from me to the point I was hospitalized cuz I was so weak. I didn't really worry about my weight then because I didn't have to. I don't mind gaining a couple pounds but I wanted to know different opinions of staying healthy during pregnancy and if working out is okay or not?
 
How far along are you? I wouldn't start anything too extreme while you were pregnant. If you were working out before continuing what you're doing should be fine. That's what I was told. I'm not sure if you are starting from scratch. Its been a minute since I was preg and I don't remember what they recommend. What does your doctor say?

Well im only in my first Tri-mester. Im 7 Weeks and my doctor said that I can but no weight lifting. But she said that could also be bothersome just doing cardio because of the scarring is still healing. I still get pinching pains in my lower stomach just by wearing tight Jeans or laying on my stomache. But Idk if that's from not working it out and just letting out stay soar

I'd just take it easy then. :):rose: Good luck.
 
up your protein too if you're too skinny. is there a legit trainer in the area CSCS certified. think about taking sessions from him

I would suggest light to moderate cardio and yoga. Are you thinking about VBAC or RCS? The more active you stay through ur preg the easier VBAC will be.
 
go with what your dr advises.... no one here knows your entire situation
 
yoga was pretty excellent when I was pregnant...so was some light weight training
 
Our Doctor recommended more sex during pregnancy. She told me something like "you put it in there, now help get it out".
