Stop being a lil bitch. You can do them back to back; look, go to the gym ready to break a motherfuckers neck....not "I did back yesterday uhhh my love muscle hurts"

first i didnt say shit hurt i said i was weaker, and ive been on this back then chest routine for awhile and ive always noticed my chest workouts were all over the place, and i figured it was due to me working my back out the day before

i do back wed, chest thurs. no probs.

looking at the routine you posted, i would think doing back, then legs next day was a worse idea as both are such large muscle groups and need more time apart, i think.

i do legs, shoulders, back, chest, bis and tris five days straight, weekends off and find this lets all groups recoup. i only lift heavy, dont super set etc etc etc, compound movements with free weights mainly, some cables for tris and back, no machines.

lift like a powerlifter, look like a bodybuilder.........i wish

I don't see why you would be weaker if you did chest the day after back. Thats usually how my workouts run and I am definitely not weaker in my lifts. Maybe it's just mental for you.

I've worked chest and then back the next day without any problems and the other way around too...once I get psyched up to train, the idea of the back playing a big part in the bench seems like an assumption I don't agree with at all.

in general I think of chest as push, and back as pull- two totally different muscle groups with different modes of operation, but that's just my opinion

regardless,best of luck :)

i havent really noticed any problems when doing back then chest. but if ive hit my chest really good and its sore then i do chest the next day it sucks. i just feel my chest stretching so much when i do chins or lat pull downs. but its all apart of the game bro

It could depend on how much you rely on your various back muslces when benching. Even strict bodybuilding-style benching will bring the back muslces into play.
