Worker Salaries Losing to Inflation.

Years ago it was forecasted that the rich would get richer and the poor, even more poor. The middle class is shrinking. I blame it on greed and the Republicans. Can I prove it? No. But I'd bet my bottom dollar.

You Could Prove it.

You Dont Have To though.

like You Said....

Its happening right in front of Us.

My salary is better than ever, and about to increase shortly. I don't worry about inflation. I already went through my "poor" days. You know what it made me do?
Work twice as hard to make more money and reduce my worries. It worked.
Pessimists are a dime a dozen. Someone with answers that work is a rare find.
Critics are just plain failures.

Right man...

I agree but,

How does That Change the Fact that The government reported on Friday that wages rose a meager an 2.5 percent over the past year -- the smallest increase on record. ?"

So apply that to the big picture, compare it with every president and administration for the last 100 years and tell me how it is relevant?
Is our country imploding? record numbers of unemployment?
Are we headed for another depression.

One other question why send so much money to help tsunami victims when there are so many in this country who according to you are in so dire need of help?

What is the answer to all that ails our failing nation?

Do me a favor and tell a joke just once a week, non-political joke for me.

One more, how does the givernment tell the private sector how to base their wages. Think about it, the answer may be simple first I know what you will probably respond. But what is an answer?

do you have areasonable solution.. if you don't don't complain :)

Ty

The bottom line is that if your wage increase over last year wasn't on average 3.3% higher than the year before then you lost ground.

Still gaining then Big W and only after 3 months
Doubled over the previous 12.
Now I just need to find a decent woman.
When does the Iraqi mail order brides magazine come out?

I think businesses are still experiencing the aftershock of the dot-com bubble and accounting scandals.

When the capital markets lost faith (rightly so) in corporate accounting, they started measuring businesses based on cash flow, so companies cut capital investment dramatically. The only problem with that is that these investments are the only way to drive sustainable productivity gains. The other source of productivity gains, unfortunately, are the backs of workers (read: Go do the work two people used to do) -- which isn't sustainable.

Bottom line: We have to get businesses rolling again, because businesses pay wages and benefit expenses.

it's pretty much a fact that middle class is shrinking.

The middle class is created by the government and the tax code. It does not exist by birthright.

Greed leads to wealth creation.

Republicans lead to more government, like democrats, only whiter.

Yes worker salaries are decreasing. Cuz foreign salaries are increasing. It's just a new distribution of wealth. Elements of the new global economy.

Decreasing worker salaries are actually corporate america's "nicer" approach to how to deal with domestic workers. The other approach is to keep the salaries artificially high -- but lay off more workers. At least this appraoch keeps budgets in check, and keeps everyone employed.

It's a common scenario across boardrooms all over America on what to do with the remaining over-priced US workers after half the company has been outsourced to mexico, china or india.

Most unions step in and save the jobs -- but sacrifice a pay cut. The far better solution for employees.

If salaries keep increasing artificially -- people don't realize that foreign alternatives become more and more attractive.

I love how democrats say republicans are ruining the country and republicans say they are cleaning up clinton and the democrats mess.

I say this all the time, but it really rings true. Back in the mid-seventies, my uncle and my dad were always competitive about how much money they made. Back then, their take home pay was roughly the same. About 500 dollars a week. I bring home not a lot more than that 30 years later. They made this money back when a new car cost $5000, and a house cost $20,000. No wonder people are so fucking destitute these days. BTW, I have a pretty damn good paying job compared to most of the people I know.
