Work @ home, would you?

i hate working at home. i cant wait tell my office is done

I would. Most of my correspondence to clients, foreign counsel, etc. is via e-mail. I can do my searches and filings via the computer. I would need to come in at least once a week to use software that is only licensed to my work computer. I don't need to be here 5 days a week.

back in my uni days, i used to buy/sell/assemble computers as a sideline, and my house was sooooooooo damn messy at times that i hated it.

the otehr thing that got on my nerves was when you felt overwhelmed with how much you had to do, and then you add you other responsibilities etc etc, there was nowhere to hide from it all, and it stressed me out...and i barely have a heartbeat compared to other people

so id say that it depends on the work, how much you ahve to bring clients to your home (and in what capacity), and your personality type

good luck with it all though :)

70 miles? Wow...that's harsh. I hope you don't have traffic.

lmao, that's a nice thought, isn't it.

i hit traffic of some sort almost every time i leave the house.
the fucking gsp (garden state parkway) is pretty bad. always
something. today it took me an extra 20 minutes of moving in
5mph traffic because some poor bastard was stranded in the
middle lane.

i "work from home" once every 2 weeks. my commute is ~70 miles each way, so it's good.

Wow, that must take a long time using your camel.

word lol, but no...i usually use your mom's car. it's convenient because i'm usually at her place in the morning.

You need to get out of the house a lot if you work from home.
Also, if there is anyone else in the house like kids etc it makes it hard to get things done.
On the plus side if you have your own office at home you can masturbate all day when you are, eh hem, "working" :)

i am at home all day..by the time needto gets home from work i am mental and need to get out of this dang place

slit1, it's not so hard to masturbate in an office full of people. i wish they'd stop complaining, though.

I do sometimes, but I have to admit, I'm not as productive when working from home.

If I had a separate home office I think I would be more productive though.

I work from home, and its great.

i can eat what I want without fat co-wwrkers saying "ewww thats gross", train when i want, and basically be the anti-social stud that i am.

on the other hand, we don't have kids.

it takes a bit of getting used to but i like it.

I had an IT job working from home mostly. I spent about 5-10 hours a week actually out on location. I loved it - $80K to surf the internet all day til something blew up.

bro, hook me up with that kind of job.

no because the home isn't a compatible environment for working and the office isn't a compatible environment to relax....having two separate locations for two different activities is important

Working at home entices me to work faster, get shit done by 2pm, so i can spend the rest of the day at the beach. :)

so yeah -- workin' at home makes me a better, faster, more productive worker. :)
