I still cant' believe it. i won my first contest. It was a great learning experience and i had the time of my life and got to compete alongside alot of great athletes. I set prs on all my events which is the only thing i wanted to do.(didnt think i'd win) but it was the best feeling in the world when they called my name for the first place trophy......i was so nervous on the log my whole body was trembling.....kinda embarassed but not near as bad as i was that night at hooters when all those girls pulled me out in front of everyone to sing happy bday.:D (thanks alot clint;) )
but all in all i had a wonderful time and got to hang out with a great group of people.(thanks guys)

thanks for all the support from the board everyone.

thanks man, really feels great. can officially say i'm a STRONGMAN now.lol

Ya deserve it, man! Good job! Congrats!

Hey, I hear that Brad Pitt is freaky! I would love to watch him compete someday.

But most of all, congrats to all who competed yesterday! Strongman is a tough gig; just to compete in ALL of the events is quite an accomplishment!!!

:) You know that I am proud of all of you guys...

You also left out Jason Acree. He set HUGE PR's on EVERY event!!!! I mean freaky ones!!!! That guy came with his head on straight and took charge...very mentally strong!!!

Slinky...Brad will be here in July. :) At 5'5" tall (maximum) he loaded the 310 stone easily!!!!

Good job King, Another Elite winner. lol

I think it`s great that you went to compete for your own PR`s and came home with first place.

Clint... any chances of you giving Brad the wrong directions by mistake??? :)

He is a COMPETITOR... and also a very nice man.

And, to Jason Acree, way to step it up, man... you've seriously come a long way since you started training w/b fold... nice job brother.

And thanks again Clint, I wouldn't have been there without your help.

i feel ya there, i wouldnt have been there with out the help of clint either, very helpful and generous guy. thanks alot clint

I have to say this:

That through Strongman, I've met some great, great people. No matter if they're competitors in the same contest, volunteers, other trainers, or spectators: the lot of them have been highly supportive, helpful and encouraging.

Totally different than any bodybuilding contest I've ever been in.

same here, i havent' met one person so far through this that wasnt a really nice person. my gf said the same thing. she was supportive and all, but after this weekend she is all into it....she was so impressed with it and really liked all the guys alot.

You can say that again.... I have a TOUGH meet on the 5th of July... then Clint's 2 weeks later... damn my body is gonna need a break.

The most frustrating part is that I've marked down my weaknesses and what I need to improve to be more competitive, and beat that damn Brad Pitt..... lol. With these upcoming competitions, though, it's nearly impossible to work on those things while getting enough rest and preparing for the upcoming shows...

damn i wish it was offseason.... kinda. Still plan on having fun at the shows though... and kicking Brian74747423982309418yt349085190438709's arse in the overall;)
