Women: would you marry a guy without a diamond ring?

I'm weird and I like latex?

Bondage to some folks.

Sex to others.

What do you want it to mean for me?

What do you wish to look into it as meaning?

It's a potential mental playground, why don't you jump in and have some fun while you attempt to judge.

I look forward to the show.

Well let's see.

You offer yourself wholly to a man but maintain an equally comprehensive, if thin, barrier to protect yourself against...?

The latex barrier represents your aloofness at the deeper levels of intimacy?

My engagement ring had no diamonds. It was a custom cladda in white gold with my birthstone in the center of the heart. I loved it (at the time that it meant something.)

I would be fine with it if we really couldn't afford it. But in my situation, I was with a guy who was dropping 2 grand on remote control cars and other such things so it would have been more puzzling if he hadn't wanted to buy a ring. I didn't care if it was a diamond though....I just wanted some effort.

I have a diamond now and we picked it out together. He loves my ring and always shows it off. I opted not to get a wedding band though because we didn't have the money for it. I have something in mind on my "someday if we have the money I'd love this" list but it isn't a sensible choice right now.

Just think of those poor little African children, every time you look at that diamond. And the fact that you wouldn't be able to wear that ring if not for the inhumane treatment of these children.

i'm very anti diamond myself.. after watching/reading about how these kids in Africa have to work in the mines for the rebels...and if they don't their arms are chopped off...and how is the US helping? nada...in Rwanda, Sierre Leone,....now the new thing is buy a certified non African diamond...and from what i read, the Debeers founder can never step foot onto US soil or be arrested..forgot why..

heck better way would be for both to get a band, maybe designed by both and rest go towards down payment on a home...who the f*&*) wants to get married, rent an apt/condo and have this expensive ring on her finger.....then save 5-7 more years to afford to buy a home...

You forgot. Many people on this board are contolled by their greed and have no concern for the suffering of others if it means keeping them from their precious toys.
