Wine time?

stop being a pussy drink a red bull

I do use energy drinks, they usually help for a solid half day. Have to be careful thigh, because I also use Nuvigil which is an alertness medication. You take one of those and drink a red bull you'll feel so jittery and anxious it can give you a panic attack. I've done that before.

Some days it doesn't help and you know it's gonna be a real tough day.

Energy drinks are ok for Mormons?

Why is coffee against the rules? Not being a smart ass. I'm really curious

A common question.

There's a large misunderstanding, even among mormons, as to whether they are allowed to drink caffeinated beverages.

Short answer, the church has never definitively said that you can't.

The "word of wisdom" as it has been dubbed, specifically forbids "hot drinks and strong drinks" which was later defined as coffee, tea made from the tea plant, and any beverages containing alcohol. This was written in like 1837.

Lots of Mormons believe that drinking a coke or mt. Dew is in violation of that. If they want to believe that then fine, caffeine can cause dependency. However, the church has never said caffeinated drinks are not to be drunk.

They said that it is up to the individual person and how they feel about it, and whether it's unhealthy enough to be avoided.

Everyone knows that energy drinks are not healthy for you. I agree. You could technically classify it as a "strong drink".

I drink them for the treatment of a legitimate medical condition. I'd use my prescription daily except for it costs a fortune, a 20ct. script costs over $200.

Anyways, why would these not be "forbidden" and coffee and tea are? The answer is because God has asked us to.

He forbade jews from eating pork and other things. It's not a new concept. Does it make sense to us? Not always, but God has his reasons and whatever they are, it doesn't really matter what we think.

A scripture says that God has put us here to see if we will obey whatever it is he asks us to do.

Is coffee evil? Lol, no I don't think so at all. Can people get addicted to coffee and become non functional without it? For some people, that happens.

Is alcohol? When abused, it can cause seriously negative consequences.

Short answer, because God said. But we can see where not using these substances would be more healthy for us.
