this is fucking shit.. nothing works anymore and it always crashes

can i go back to windows 98 without losing everything?

Did you update all your system drivers?

I've had xp for over a year and it's never crashed....odd hey.

You'll lose things like high resolution icons on your start bar and the social opportunity to say "i run xp" at parties. Windows 98 is horrible though, maybe you should consider Win 2000?

The only logical reason I can come up with when people say that XP blows is that they are either running outdated software and/or hardware that's not compatible with xp. If that's the case, either a new system or new software is needed anyways

XP really is much superior to 98. My only really is was I had to buy a never scanner and a couple of old DOS bases programs no longer work. What kinda system are you running? You put XP on unless you have 300mhz and 128 although 450mz and 256mhz would be much better to have at minimum IMO.

XP Pro is the best OS, period. I do mega-gaming on my computer, which stresses the system to the max and it is BY FAR the most stable OS I have used.

Win 98 is a pile of grabage. Update all your drivers and get all your Windows updates. Make sure you get all your Critical Updates. There are some older programs that you may have trouble running on XP, but usually the developers of the software will have patches to make their programs compatable with XP.

lol.

XP has never crashed for me and all of my hardware works. Most of it does not even require that I download the drivers because XP includes all of them.

If XP sucks then it is likely that the user is doing something wrong.

Jackpot!

Did you say that nothing works?
Does IE work?
If so, download drivers for Windows ME and download an ISO of Windows Me, burn it on a CD disc, write on the CD "Windows Me", then save all your drivers on an empty CD and then write on the second CD "drivers for Windows Me". Install Windows Me and install the drivers.
I know Windows Me is bullshit, but it's the best way to fix it.:rainbow:
