Any Windows update expert here?

I want to install the latest security patches

when I go to windows update (http://update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en-us) I have the following error message:

Please change your Internet Explorer security settings
To save changes to your settings for this website, you need to enable userdata persistence for Internet Explorer. Complete the steps below, and then click Change settings to the left and try saving your changes again.
In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Security tab, click the Internet security zone icon, and then click Custom Level.
In the Settings dialog box, scroll to the Miscellaneous section.
Under Userdata persistence , select Enable.
Click OK and when the security warning dialog box appears, click Yes.

Read more about steps you can take to resolve this problem yourself.

But my settings are OK (as required)
I tried to disable/enable the option but I still have the same msg...
:(

what version of IE are you using, you might want to update to IE 6 if you are still using IE 5.5

set it to the lowest security setting, then close all browser windows and re-open.. try again

I've not installed the SP2

Are you sure about the legal copy?
I knew MS talked about it but I thought they abandoned the idea

I'm pretty sure you have to have sp2 installed before you can go to windows update again because of the Windows Update exploit.

Sh*t

Is it worth it?
I know SP2 has screwed a bunch of computers

I have sp2, no problems

Good.... but I need Windows update to install SP2 !
