Will you ever be satisfied with your size?

i think in about 10 years when im 32 ill be a good size where ill be happy... but right now.. im still thinking im skinny and fat, lol... this cycle will be fun tho.. already have people coming up to me and asking if im gaining weight
 
I thought when I started that I really didnt want to look like one of those "huge guys", I just wanted to tone up a bit. Yeah well here I am 3yrs later (5'9 215) constantly wanting an extra 10lbs. I know think that in if i can make it to a lean 250 in five years that I will be happy but Im sure by then I will have new goals. But if I were ever really happy with my size, that would be the day that I stopped trying, just the nature of the beast.

i'd like to be atleast 190, but i'm like a short hobbit so i dont have the kind of frame that would make more weight look good like some of the beasts out there...wish i did tho
 
im satisifed now...
but that doesnt mean i wont strive for more.
 
Well when I started lifting seriouse I was 175, now 3.5 years later I am 225 with 7% bf at age 28, and I am striving for about 240 with 6 or 5% bf.

It is funny cause when I started I thought, 190 would be perfect, then I felt small at 190. So I set my goal for 200, then 215, then 225, now straight up to 240 or 250. To be completely honest, who knows if I will ever look at myself and say yeah, I am big enough, lol. Every time I look in the mirror I see the scrawny 175 pound me.

I'm 40 and I ain't there yet kid. I've definitely taken a more relaxed approach, though. Got a mortgage, a family and a career that keeps me busy pretty much seven days a week. I remember turning 22. . .I was in a bar, licking salt off some hot chick's neck and firing down shots of tequila. . .ten years will go by so friggin fast you won't know what hit you. ENJOY THE RIDE!!! I know I did ;)
 
It also works for how lean. I got down to about 6% bf @ 190lbs through the summer and now I look at pictures I think leaner leaner leaner.

The day I lose my drive to be bigger and leaner is the day I give up weights (or die)!
 
I have kind of mixed feelings about this. During the off time I'm always thinking I want to be BIGGER,BIGGER,BIGGER. But then Rugby comes back around and I know that aroun 200-215 is probably the best place for me in the game. I'm stronger than most backs and still just as fast as ever. Much more weight would kill my endurance and foot speed!
 
I thought I would be satisfied at 185...nope...The thing is, unless you were at a higher wieght earlier in life, you have no idea how you are going to look with another 10-15 pounds on your frame. Once there, it doesn't seem all that different from what you were before.

I think most bros always strive to be bigger, leaner and stronger, but thre is nothing wrong with that. Those are healthy ambitions...The ones that take it to extremes are the ones that I worry about.

For me? Kevin Faulk, New England Patriots third down back, 5-8, 202 pounds, clearly under 10% BF. Fast, strong, athletic and healthy.

That is my goal.
 
Was thinking it was a trick question :evil: You say you just want a little then you get a little then you want more and more...Hell i am gone, got to go workout...Take note this is how you get big not typing posts lol...

Maybe do a poll on who's got big finger muscles.....peace
 
I would like to lose 40 lbs of fat AND muscle.

Same with me. I have been clean for a while and I like the way I look. I'm about 230 with 7 to 8% bf (i need to get it tested. I'm REAL lean right now).
At this time I think I look the best I have ever looked.
My goals are to just bring up certain areas over time EX. lats, pec and delt density.

*That said. I wouldn't mind 260 or 270 shredded. At the end of June I was 245 at 7.5%.
Only time will tell
 
Yea - I think once I hit my goal all be happy. I'm 195lbs now and I feel so small. I'll just have to keep going until I hit it, 30 cycles later - 315bls 8% bf. :p
 
Probably not. When I look in the mirror, one of two thoughts pop into my head. One, I'm too small and need to bulk up. Or two, I'm holding too much fat and need to cut.
 
My arms have the gay compared to every other bodypart.. well maybe my penis too but i carnt do anything about that. Im looking to bring my arms through this year and cut my bodyfat real low. I will then take it from there
 
Man, is this not a question that pops in my head everytime i get to the weight i originally wanted. This sucks, i want bigger.
 
The unfortunate or fortunate depending on how you look at it fact is if we were the kind of people who would ever be satisfied we would not be here. That's just who most of us are.
 
Most of us seem to share the same problem haha well a problem if thats the way you see it. I always think i look smaller than the 160 lb kid standing next to me even though i know i weigh 215.
 
Whenever I'm getting close to a size I want...I wish I had lower BF. Whenever I get close to a BF I want...I wish I had more size. Its a lifelong journey...
 
im 5'6 so around 200lbs is where I want to be,im about 5lbs off,just working on lowering bodyfat and once im around 12% and 200lbs Ill be happy
