it will if you take it without some kind of oil, add flax or olive oil and you are ok

really...ya learn something new every day.....Why is that though out of curiosity

ever hear of gluconeogenesis?

ketogenic diet requires specific nutrient breakdown, protein has to be kept down to 35% or lower while fats are 65% or higher of the total cals, if too much protein is consumed it will be converted to glucose and used for energy hence ketosis will never be acheaved

True in a sense bro but you really would have to jack your protein to really high levels in order to do that. Plus the more protein you take in the faster it gets oxidized anyway. Plus the whole conversion process of protein to glucose creates a thermogenic reaction within your body as your body uses calories just for the conversion process. Overall you still will be in a state of ketosis as long as you don't get too ridiculous with the protein intake.

well ketosis is a state during which your body uses ketones for energy........YOU KNEW THAT, obviously. ketones can only be generated through beta oxidation of triglycerides into fatty acids which are then further oxidized into ketones, ketones CAN NOT be generated from protein, so it only natural that if your fat intake is not suffieciently high the ketogenic state CAN NOT and WILL NOT be acheaved

overall, will you still loose great deal of fat if you keep carbs to zero, and are in caloric deficit..........MOST DEFINETLY, but deep ketosis will not be acheaved

I didnt know that much, obviosly you guys are both very knowledgable in this. I was worried about the sucralose in it, because i read that will kick you out.

Very true. But also remember that when the body is in a deficient state it will release stored bodyfat as well which will then be further oxidized into ketones. So even if you don't jack up your fat intake extremely high and are in a carb depleted state for a good period of time your body will still be in a state of ketosis.

The rookie imo sucralose won't make a difference. It's an artificial sugar alternative and doesn't get metabolized in your body for energy so you're all good there.

"True" ketosis is deadly anyways, at least that's what my doc told me.

Really? My doctor has been on atkins for a year he said....He does the maintainance diet now, whatever that is
