Why u should train a muscle twice a week? Article

Very interesting. I could not do this for time reasones. What your essentially doing is splitting what you would do one day into 2. I fail to see how this would be beneficial. I would rather hit tris for example, all out one day, keeping the muscle engorged with blood for an extended period of time. Depends on your goals. If your doing explosive movements where reps are not an issue this thread makes all the sense in the world. If, on the other hand you are training 3-4 excersizes per bodypart 3-4 sets of 8-12 it would be a bit much. Peace. I do agree though that this program would be interesting to mix things up a bit once in a while.

CCJ(or anybody else): I have troubles with all the loads on my lower back aswell..
What have you done to bring up your work capacity? Overreaching through training cycles or recovery work? both? anything else?

thanks

I'm not sure, but I guess backing off every so often helps. Bodywieght reverse hypers to pump some blood into there is ncie too.

Yesterday my lower back was sore from tempo runs, and I went it bombed it more with cleans, rack pulls and back extwnsions, finished with 12 reps of Reverse hypers and my erectors were pumpe like a ballon for hours after, and now its actually less sore than yesterday :)

i spend at total of like 45 minutes in the gym a week split across 2 days. one lower one upper. and i train events once a week. i have been gaining stregnth and size at a crazy rate. only other physical labor is being a mechanic so i am using muscles all day so i guess that is my gpp. but this has been my best work out plan thus far. and i only use compound movements. i work speed and maximal effor. i did westdie for a while so i learned how to use this. at this point in time i just do what my body tells me to. if it wants less it gets less if it can take more it gets more. seems to be working great in 6 weeks i gained 60 pouunds on my box squat and 55 on my deadlift. and i trained 5 days total in those 6 weeks. my body wanted rest and i gave it and it returned the favor. i think everyone just needs to listen to their body. but i am a newbie onlye been lifting since january. so maybe its begginers luck. only time will tell:fro:
