I saw an amazing amount of hate directed at women from men. Many acted out.

This hate came from many sources to include self-loathing. The worst was to know the kids watched it.

I don't have the time, energy or desire to "understand" these men I'd just stop it like the author of this post did ... except I'd put my 38 in his mouth to settle him down and appear in court as a witness.

i agree with you completely. im sorry but again, i just cant let it go. i hope in by getting involved, the woman will see that there are decent people out there who are nice and treat women with respect. i dont know why these woman stay besides fear. but if it were me, id find some big bad ass mofo (like myself) and get him to beat the shit outa the guy everyday till he gets the point. see how he likes it. id do it.

One of the reasons men hit women is that's what they saw growing up, and the same can be said of the women who stay in relationships with abusive men. You live what you know. Abuse becomes the family tradition, carried down from generation to generation.

My father was an abuser and beat the hell out of my mother on numerous occasions. I had a very warped perspective of what a healthy adult male-female relationship was. I knew getting your head stomped on was wrong, but beyond that things got fuzzy. I didn't marry a man who beat me (in fact, I had the anger issues) but I did marry a man who psychologically abused and manipulated me. My frustration with our relationship would periodically explode and I'd physically lash out at him, because that was the only way I knew to deal with anger and frustration.
