And for those of you that have sen price checks, you also see them get locked as soon as we find them. This may have not been the case in the past, but over the last few months it has and it will continue to be.

Again, NO - price checks, NO - source posts, NO - Dude, where did you get your gear..etc.

gotcha. i was just curious since i've seen a few price checks here and there and i really didnt see any harm in them....but that was a few months ago

This isn't my site so I respect the rules. But honestly as long as a price check stays a price check I don't see the big deal. But its like you all said a price can quickly turn out to be a source request.

And every time I speak out against price checks, I, as well as others, get slammed for it. This is not fuckin' TRIEDIA or Network54.com. If nobody likes it, then get the fuck off. Why should sources and their customers face possible jail-time because young, eager, wannabe juicers who've probably never done a cycle in their life don't want to wait around a bit and educate themselves first.

Your point that it forces newbies to educate themselves is well taken. I myself was eager enough to have jumped in a little sooner than I should have. It was just so frustrating in the beginning when I had no sources and I kept threads about "my source said this" and "my 400 vials of sus don't look level". But all the while I was learning more and more. In retrospect, I'm glad it took as long as it did to hook a solid source.

So, well enough then. I also understand a couple other points made, such as the board's getting flooded by what would essentially amount to spam.

It doesnt matter if it visably turns into a source post, becuase people see prices that are lower than what they pay and then that guy gets a PM saying, Dude where did you get your shit, etc. Make sense?

That kind of stuff happens all the time with those posts. It's a very smart move to discourage those price check threads.
