If I'm out drinking and having fun and some hot young chick's flirting and laughing at my jokes and some guy comes up behind her, I'm not going to go out of my way to find out who he is as there must be some reason she does'nt introduce him (lost his place in line)

She needs to acknowledge that she's married, she's not acting like it

what she did before she met me is her business

Yes he is saying what she did 5min previous is not his concern, but he is also saying that if she IS married or otherwise taken and NOT a total skank, he expects her to make it perfectly clear she is taken and that his advances are not welcome...

Is it your duty to do a background check on every girl you hit on? I don't think so.... But it is reasonable to assume the chick will make it abundantly clear that they are taken, unless they welcome your advances (slut/attention whore)....

It doesn't matter what SHE does at all. His character isn't judged by HER actions. His character is judged by HIS actions. Now if she hides the fact that she is married/engaged, that is a different issue altogether.

My wife is very gregarious and GORGEOUS. She is the life of every party we go to. I'm secure enough that I don't sit and halk after her. When we're out at places the guys mack on her all the time. Even though she has a huge ring on her finger. Some of them are so bold as to tell her that it doesn't matter to him if it doesn't matter to her, after she's told them she's married. When I'm around she leads them to me for an introduction. For some odd reason they go hunting elsewhere.

So what if maybe she is married but seperated, or getting a divorce and not yet taken the ring off? what if she is acting in a way to attract him? (though yes this is a weak arguments as some dudes thing cause she breathes it means she likes him) in either case I doubt you would deny the man to a shot on goal....

Is he not supposed to hit on her, even though she may be at a bar, etc whatever? Lets face it, for the most part bars, clubs etc are for singles... my wife and I don't go out that often cause frankly we have better things to do...

when my wife and I are out, yes situations like this do occur... I get hit on by chicks or she get hit on by dudes, at times when one of us is in the bathroom, I am getting drinks, etc... neither of us mince words if somehing happens... it might seem overly abrupt to say "no thanks", or "get lost" or something boardering on rude if someone doesn't get the message, but it gets the point across and there is not mis-interpretation....

My whole thinking on this from the beginning is if this is a recurrent problem, and the people don't buzz off, the woman is probably not doing what she should to discourage their behavior...

She shouldn't have to do ANYTHING to discourage their behavior. If she's sporting a wedding ring, which isn't that damn difficult for anyone to see, then the guys should back off. I question the character of the man if he'll keep pursuing a married woman no matter how much discouraging she does or doesn't do.. If a man will pursue a woman knowing she's married or engaged is nothing but a slime ball weasel. It's exactly those men that I hope get to experience the other side of it.

Getting back to the original question, I believe that people hit on your wife balatantly 'cause they don't respect you...maybe the name has something to do with it? LOL Seriously though, these fuks hit on her with you there, imagine when you are gone...the don't feel threatened and they swarm like vultures...you might have to regulate a bit...
