why do you guys change so much when you become a MOD

that is an perspective I did not think about.
i was also thinking how it might be uncomfortablr when you guys find things out about members who you may of previuosly held in regard.
I mean you guys can track Karma,....pm's and god knows what else if you tried.

You know the circumstances behing thhe karma track. The mods do not have that ability. I posted the situation on the Mod board and Admin deemed it serious enough to track in order to set an example.

The reason I didn't change when I became a mod was because I already felt that I ruled supreme before becoming a mod. Nothing has really changed. I am still your master.

I think it's cool. Becoming a Mod is quite like a double edged sword. The members you may not have seen eye to eye with now become more intense in their views toward you...At times you are attacked, others you are thanked....In the end, you're still a member of this board, with personal views on certain topics, this makes it quite hard at times to distinguish between what you believe in, or what is right for the board.....

For me and from the mods that I know very well, it isn't that WE judge, but more that WE JUDGE OURSELVES more rigorously. In other words, we realize that our "status" means that there are many more who will look to us for help, information and inspiration. I, for one, take this very seriously. I never know WHO or HOW my words may impact another.

and I think that the medium of the internet...specifically chatting will have more of an imporatance to our lives as time rolls on.......so I choose to take it a little more seriuosly than others
I think if you go back two years you will see than what I am all about now. I will not nad never will tolerate racial slurs or folks who think they are above everyone else. I've not changed one bit from when I first started though now I can help more folks and eliminate racism and hate posts when I see them and before I could just get pissed and do nothing.

My observations about mods in general.
-YOu can tell who has been a mod for a while and who hasnt. One part meaning that the ones that have been mods for a while are not so trigger happy. This is not so much a knock as I would imagine that most when they become mods for the first while have thier own version of what the TOS means and can take it too lterally(like some take respective Bibles and religions) after a while most find a happy medium.
-Some mods even ones who have been mods for the longest times forget about some of the posts they put up in the past, the same type of stuff they edit, lock and delete now. I mean how many old funny threads have been bumped here in the past and recently have been deleted because in my opinion some of the mods look like hypocrites now with the editing and deleting.
-Yes members do tend to jump and criticise what mods do when they first become mods including yours truly.
-Some mods should not be mods and just for this fact. Before they became mods they posted all the time. When they become mods some tend to not post anymore and only show up in threads questioning the mods. The excuse they give is that unlike us they have a life and do not have time to post. Well if they have no time to post then they have no time to be mods then.
-I was away all week and looking at some of the threqads here the past few days it seems to me that some members who cause shit get away with alot more then others.
-Some people make friends and yes enemies here and alot of people scream mods do something about this thread as they are being mean to so and so and why wah wah wah. Well people alot worse gets said by some of these so called angels in pm's and emails at times. I havent had this happen to me but I have chatted with enough who it has and those who have informed me of others where this stuff happens.
-I have read enough words on this board lately by mods and admin that imply if you arent Platimnum then you have no opinion.
Hmmm to me the supps sold here are 100% internet advertised, marleted and sold hence make a living. I understand that sites cost money to run but what about those people who dont have platinum but either buy a shitload of supps from this site and/or reccomend others to buy the supps. I guess those people dont matter.
Sorry sales and marketing are a big part of what I do for a living and you cant bullshit a bullshitter.I know my opinion does not matter but as a consumer some of the sales tactics used lately are a turnoff.
Mods are people too and were regular members here before, maybe we should start treating them like this once in a while and maybe they should realize that they have carreers outside of this and stop treating this like some kind of real job.

At the end of the day turn off the computer and forget this shit.
