On the other side of the coin, I think a lot of bodybuilders actually draw attention to themselves, then complain about it. You don't HAVE to bring your own food to a barbeque. You don't HAVE to eat a can of tuna fish in a movie theater. You don't HAVE to wear a skin tight T shirt everywhere you go.
Just this afternoon I did an infrequent trrip to a tanning salon and when the machine didn't go on I had to step back into the lobby. I didn't feel like getting all dressed again, but didn't want to look like I was showing off, so I put on my pants and threw a towel over my shoulder and sure enough, someone in the waiting area made a roid remark. All I'm on is 100 mgs a week of HRT so I took it as a compliment!
I think everyone should work toward the goal that makes them happy. If you want to be muscular, expect a good reaction and some jealous ones. If you want to be a freak, expect to be treated like one. And enjoy it. If it bothers you, maybe you should reconsider your goals.
