Why do we need zinc for? From my understanding zinc inhibits Test from converting to DHT.

So wtf take this mineral for?

protein and DNA synthesis; and cell division--and that is just a start. without the former, there is no growth.

zinc helps the body manufacture the male hormone testosterone. Inadequate zinc intake could mean low testosterone production, poor growth and muscle building -- and low sexual drive.

Zinc is essential for cell growth. But most any multi will cover your needs.

green veggies, green veggies, green veggies.

if you get them then you get all the minerals and vitamins you need. 99.9% of americans don't get enough though so we turn to multi vitamins and we have poor health :(

Fresh green veggies are so good, don't understand how so many people don't likem

^^ 100% . Many doctors and clinicians will tell you that you actually urinate out the majority of a pill or multivitamin when you take it and its much better to obtain your nutrients from a variety of food sources than taking a pill for everything. IMO, I think multi vitamins and pills are just wasted when taken.

for natural of off cycle people it will effect test levels in people who are deficient.

for people who are on, like others have said, it is essential for cell division and growth. If you are deficient and correct it you will notice improvements in strength, size, cramping, knots, soreness, stiffness, etc

Are you saying knots and stiffness and cramping could come from having low test?

no im saying zinc helps it but not by increasing test.

This is very true. If you have a good enough diet and are eating properly you don't even need a multi. Agree 100%

i dont know the complete details but when i was natural and didnt have the best diet i added zinc and noticed improvements in gains.

the problem is that we really do not understand that much about how our body works--zinc can inhibit DHT a bit but the studies that look at its impact on serum test appears to have been limited to people with genetic/environmental/acute low test OR populations with low zinc---so the results are sorta meaningless for the average person

Basically, as stated already, its plays a vital role in an awful lot of processes but is it important enough to try an modulate? doubt it--just eat right or take a supp and it is probably a non-issue.

Google is the most dangerous thing out there---a little bit of knowledge is worse than none at all.

Great reason why i suggest eating A couple of cups of green veggies throughtout the day... I also use a bannana, berries and apples for the simple sugars postowrkout for a couple reasons... insulin spike of course, and to restore levels of depleted glycogen, as well as to restore the levels of vitamins and minerals depleted during workout... i also try to take my multi preworkout so my body will make use of them instead of urinating them all out... But truth is, your body does piss out most of the good nutrients in vits....

I find it hard to eat veggies. They taste horrific. They give me nasty gas. And I'm out on the road all the time. I carry a little lunchbox with me. Enough to carry sweet potato, chicken, protein pancakes, hard boiled eggs. I need to eat fast because I'm always on the go. Really don't have time to sit there and dedicate time to eating veggies. And then walk around all farting everywhere I go. LOL

One more thing. How is it that we piss out our multi-vitamins? But not the vitamins in veggies? You're telling me that the full multi-vitamin pill I take is ALL pissed out? Nothing gets absorbed?

You can make yourself some veggie juice and take it with you during the day, a cup or two is better than nothing. Throw some mint leaves in there to minimize your gas issue.

i eat fruits and veggies 5x per day. spread out throughout the entire day. so i get a steady mix of vitamins/minerals in a smaller dosage. this is much easier for your body to utilize and absorb.

when you take a pill 100% or more of the vitamin hits your system at the same time so it is much harder for your body to use.

most vitamins can not be stored at all and are either used or secreted. only fat soluble ones have any real chance of being stored and those in high dosages can actually be dangerous.

hope that helps
