Why do Steroids get sooo much negitive hype?

HulkRow

Everything the media throws out about steroids is bullshit,
But why???

Steroids make your preform better, they make you look bigger, they can help people.

So whats wrong with them?

It seems that the side effects are grossly over reacted by the media and any example of "negitive" behaviour that can be traced to AS use ,is blown up.

BUT WHY???

Simple....

First, in all fairness, steroids have SERIOUS side effects that must be considered before ever using. Responsible use MINIMIZES the risk, but it does not ELIMINATE them. So, there is a reason to always be careful with such powerful drugs.

Now, the reason the media is against it is simple....it's a conspiracy. Why is it all-you-can-eat slop houses are on every corner and McClog-Your-Arteries are the cheapest places to eat in America, but quality food (esp. high-protien food) is very expensive in comparison? Why is it doctors say exercise more and eat right, but nobody (read employers) wants to encourage your taking your health seriously? Why do docs come up with arbitraty values on things like serum cholesterol levels then drug companies make drugs to forcefully lower your levels to the "healthy range" even though such drugs are proven to kill a percentage of the patients that use them?

Why is it doctors and hospitals kill more people per year through outright malpractice and simple human error but everyone says the malpractice insurance insurance rates are outrageous? However, we make it more of a crime to drink and drive or to carry a weapon in the commission of a crime....of which, both have killed LESS PEOPLE each year than doctors do?

I've long concluded that society is constructed to SUCK THE LIFE OUT OF EVERY PERSON while they are young then try to kill them off as soon as possible. It's economics. Youth make the economy go. Old people horde their money because they know they might not be able to work until they die. ANYONE WHO FIGURES THIS OUT winds up on the short end of the stick because we don't compromise our dedication to ourselves to bow down to some demanding employer or to a system that wants to pump us with poison in the name of keeping us healthy.

Gear use has risks, but responsible use makes it as safe as anything your doctor wouldn't think twice about prescribing you that can do much worse to you. In contrast, most drugs have questionable, if any, health benefits. Gear use, when used responsibly, conferrs a great health benefit. We can't have that in America. Imagine men and women going around stronger, healthier, eating right, living longer, thinking for themselves....IT WOULD MEAN CHAOS! Millions of VOTING AMERICANS with open eyes and clear minds....NO WE MUST HAVE A NATION OF MINDLESS SHEEP!

damn true.

The one constant in the Universe is that the media always lies about everything they print. You can get as much real and authentic news from a National Enquirer as you can get from any major paper. Sad isnt it.

reminds me of alcohol and tobacco but they are legal. go figure.

Because they actually work and people that don't take them need something to bitch about for their subpar athletic performance. I hate all these assholes that don't use juice but they will try all the over the counter performance enhancers just because they are legal and roids are not. If you are using anything to enhance your performance even if it it legal than you are in the same catagory as someone using AS. The only difference is AS actually work and stupid over the counter shit is a waste of money.

I would be willing to bet that alcohol and tobacco kill more people than gear ever would. There are so many legal drugs out there that are just as harmful, if not more harmful and they are approved for use on humans. Look at all that stuff in GNC. None, if any of those supplements are approved by the FDA and kids in junior high can shop there. This thread could go on for miles because I would be willing to bet that just about every member on this board has an argument regarding gear. Gear will be legal someday...we can all dream about it anyway, can't we? :D

if the US economy didn't rely of tabacco and alcohol to generate revenues and keep certain sectors profitable they would be ILLEGAL too!

can you imagine the black market for alcohol and tabacco?!?! there is no way this country could control that...

Without the media, I'm sure steroids would still be illegal, but probably regarded as pot is. Most people, including cops, profs and others, have a "it's a matter of time" attitude for the legalization of pot, and I agree with them. I think they can save millions prosecuting people for pot crimes and such, and use that cash for good. But i wouldn't want to see roids get legalized, too many big people to deal with, and there'd be too much abuse. It'd be like supplements now, with every company forcing crap down your throat. More problems.

But blame the media. Before I was educated of the juice, I like many others, believe that roids were drugs that made you beat people up at random with a bald head, no dick, and permanat acne.

Well said partner!

Hey Bro's

It's all a fucking conspiracy with the supplement companies and the government......

Do you think that the mainstream public would be buying so many DAMN supplements if they knew that steroid's were not as dangerous as they are told and worked so good?

We all know that if you abuse anything including masturbation "lol" there are always side effects.

So I say fuck them finger:and more power to the GEAR!!!!!

Corrrectamundo!

The facts:

The very word "drugs" frightens people.

Steroids are used to gain an advantage in sports, therefore it is viewed as "cheating."

Only a small percentage of the population use them, therefore politicians have nothing to gain by fighting for their legality.

Our best bet is to work not towards legalization, but decriminalization. We could also use an articulate spokesman. Oddly enough, Bill Phillips was such a person, but he got tired of dealing with the maniacs and realized he could make just as much money selling pablum.

Right now I think Rick Collins is one of our best spokesmen. But I believe everyone who uses drugs has a responsibility as well. Screaming that you want the right to be a 280 lb freak doesn't help the cause. We need a Martin Luther King, not a Malcolm X.

If the drug companies can be convinced there's a profit in steroids, things will change. All change is based on economics. Always.

I also think that primal jealously has something to do with it...males feel threatened at the most primal level when someone has a superior physique....

i just wrote a speech about this. The main reason is that its socially unaceptable, but this derives from the fact that the government classifies it as a Class III controlled substance. If steroids were more popular before they were outlawed they would without a doubt be accepted now. You rarely see anti-weed programs on T.V. and books, people walk around with shirt with big pot leeves on them, what do you think would happen if you walked around with a needle full of test and some anavar tabs. People think your a criminal. Groose misinformation doesn't help either. Its pretty ridicilous to think that cigarrets are legal, as well as alcohol. These things destroy your body, but something that promots healthy living is highly illegal. I closed my speech with something like, maybe if Steroid companys had given more money to state and federal legislatures steroids would be legal.
