Yes and no. We make our own luck. When one goes out of their way to make sure that they do not find that person, they will not. Shit, look at me, I made sure to push everyone who was a potential decent relationship away from me for the last 3 years. That definately ensured that I wouldn't find "the one" for me.

Bottom line, you need to have an open mind to find "the one" for you, if such a person exists. Having an open mind about finding "the one" is no guarantee that you will though.
