I know this is a generalization, but most the guys I know or see that are jacked are usually 5'8" or shorter. Just curious that's all.
Why do short guys get SO jacked?!?

No doubt short guys can get nice lookin chicks, but height is always a plus on a guy. Just like looks, money, power, and prestige are.
Basically, if you can get certain kinds of girls being X height, with Y looks, and Z money, you (everything else about you held constant) would get more/better looking girls if you were X+2" tall, or Y+1 better looking, or Z+$1Mil richer.

.......i got lotsa guys who are like 6" and over, and 250 or thereabouts, who are like "damn man you could kick my ass" and "you are big as hell". meanwhile i am 5'8" and like 180 or so lbs. if you got quality size on you, and you are short, and your structure is good...you will of course look "bigger" and more muscular than a taller skinny or taller chunkier dude. meanwhile most of these guys who are so afraid to mess with me could probably pick me up and throw me across the room. lol. also i look mean too, and that always helps to look intimidating.

I am very height conscious at 16 5'4, since most of my friends are all 5'8-6ft and I just did a test cycle and I feel like I am never gonan grow again so I walk around all day comparing myself to other people. Let me tell you it sucks, If I never do grow again I have no idea what I will do, I will certainly be kicking myself in the ass though. I was only guessed to be 5'7, 5'8. My dad is 5'8 my brother is 5'6 my mom is 4'11 or about there so I wasn't gonna be very tall anyway, but it still sucks and this topic is bringing it all back to me. 
I never had a problem with the ladies though but now I compare myself to them and I try not to stand to close to people cause I feel bad, fuck me and my inmature decisions.

Thanks, yea I get called stout now, I like that word stout sounds cooler than tall to me. I just hope I can make 5'8 never got any answers in my other thread but no one really knows for sure I am just gonna have to wait it out, I did alot of research on it and its a case by case scenario some people stunt heir growth some don't and some do but still grow alittle bit. Someone told me Arnold starting juicing at 14 and hes 6'2 so I don't know anymore! I grew an inch in the last 9 months and my cycle was in the last 6-7 so does this have any idication if I stunted or not or you think the juice might of boosted the growth and now I am fucked?

Haha, i completely relate to that. I am 5'8 and I like small girls(well, skinny to be more specific)...but it seems like I am a fuck up when it comes to actually getting them. I am not too big at the moment(about 210 lbs at maybe 8%) but it seems to scare some girls or something...they are afraid if I get mad I will like eat them. Sometimes I wish I was a little taller but I have a good stature for the iron game so it does have its benefits.

Short jacked guys look fat in clothes. I think in the U.S. 5'10 is the average male height, not 5'8. There have been countless studies done on how women view height in a man. Well....if your below average in height you probably don't want to read them or any women magazines for that fact. Even Lee Priest looks small next to a average height and moderate build guy and he is the leader of the swelled up and sawed-off clan.

BTW, anyone know what the average arm size is on most guys (bodybuilders)? Getting into the 20+ crowd is hard, and I figure there's a lot of guys who don't come close but still have the respect of any peer.

The average size arm for men is 13 inches...I don't know what it is for BB's. I also had this verified when I tried to take my blood pressure with one of those things at the grocery store with the cuff. I couldn't fit my arm all the way into it, so it closed around my elbow. I read the instructions and it said that it was designed for a "normal person's arm, appoximately 9 to 13 inches". I guess 19 inches was a bit too much! I have to admit I felt pretty ridiculous when it took the blood pressure from my wrist.

2) eyes
3) chest/arms upper body in general
4) "grooming"
5) height
if you talk to them and it isn't just sight related, then sense of humor def takes over the 5 spot. They do look for height, but you can overcome that easy if you got what is listed. i have always had and ass that women like (they like it when you got a good size ass and wear pants that show it, but not too tight), and i got big green eyes and long girly eyelashes, big in the chest and shoulders, but i got long hair! lol. so i get hammered for long hair because women like short neat hair. and of course there is the height thing. i will say that the other stuff def overcomes the height though, reason i put them 1-3 on the list. and when you are funny like me, they love that. just gotta watch out not to become the gay buddy though. alright that is enough of what women like 101 version by a short guy. lol.

this guy is right, I am avg. height 5'9-5'10. I have a friend who is 5'4 and cut/jacked. He is a good looking guy, but the thing he has most is confidence. Many women would not date a short guy- no matter how good looking or ripped he was. Women prefer taller guys. With that said- obviously short dudes can get plenty of women too if they know how to conduct themselves and are confident- i'm just speaking generally.

True i am 6'1 215 and it takes a lot more work for me to look jacked compared to the 5'5 guy but in the end longer fuller muscles are more appealing to the eye, and dont get me started with the lifting power like when you see a little 5'5 guy in the gym pressing 405 and get up like they just accomlished some amazing feat and im like damn and then I think GEEE his stride is only about 12inches compared to my 6'1 24inch stride so it just pisses me off SORRY I ahad to vent

I am 6'4 and 260 My arms are over 19" but they still look like shit because they are so long. I will have to get'em up to 22+ before they look full, its a biatch being tall until you actually fill out and look balanced.

Ok, serious question. My roommate is about 5'7'' maybe 5'8'' He always says that he's bigger than me. I'm 6' even. I'm 215 and he's 205. Now he looks bigger than me, he's thick as hell. In terms of bodybuilding standards, he would blow me off stage. All of my measurements are bigger than his, so I am "bigger." However, his sole arguement is that for ever one inch in height that a bodybuilder is he should weight 8 more pounds than for being an inch shorter; eg: 6" 200 vs 6'2'' 216 would be the same size. Which I think seems reasonable. Lee Preist vs. Ronnie Coleman.
Also he say's he can't bulk up because he will look fatter than me because my fat is spread out more. So I look thinner at a given BF% than he would. Seems somewhat reasonable but if we're the same % then it's all relative and equal. Still shorter BBers still seem fatter during the offseason that taller BBers.
He wants to believe his theory above but "does not buy" the laws of physics. Force equals work times distance. F=md. So it does not take as much effort (force) for a short guy to bench 325 as it would a tall guy. Physics don't lie, that's just the way it is. The short guy is moving the weights a shorter distance. I forget who said it but for powerlifters, it's a gift to be short (leverage?).
He does have a Napoleon complex and some inserurity issues which really don't help our arguement (hell, I have enought issues of my own, we won't even go there). But he just does not want accept the physics aspect of it.
So what I'm really getting to I guess is how do I get my little general on horseback to accept the physics part? He just wants to accept what will benefit him and give him excuses, not what is proven.

its true, we do build alot more easily than a taller person, im about 5'5. anf the reason we build faster is becuse since we have shortor arms, shorter legs, etc.. the weights dont have to travel as far to get a full repetition as somone taller with the same amount of weight.

Most short guys want to be taller so that pretty much ends the debate right there. I used to work in a big nightclub and saw firsthand how women respond to men. Most women want a man that is at least their height or taller. Most women seem to prefer a man who is of average height or taller. I would say the best height for a guy would be about 5'10-6'2.
