you can just shit on religion here and its ok but if you try to get people to follow god you get redded and your threads locked?

Every thread is different, there are circumstances that have to be weighed in... and factor in that you have a ton of different mods with different interpretations of each post deciding whether said post violates the tos or not. If you only knew how many bs posts we get reported that are in NO way violating anything, you'd freak. At least half of the reported posts that come to my email box are frivelous complaints, you guys assume we lock everything without any interpretation... it's not that simple. - zk.

I made a thread making a joke about nuns and it got locked right away, is this site run by jesus freaks? No, they're just scared of anything too contraversial which is kind of funny when this is supposed to be "the most contraversial site on the net."

To post more non-biased opinion.

Could be in the context. A member's signature is a personal expression that has no bearing on the content of any particular thread(unless the person changes their sig for relevance to one thread)

Whereas any thread Pro/Con is trying to directly influence others.

My other idea is that the religious threads quickly turn into flame wars that overshadow the intent of the original thread. If people would behave themselves and discuss issues like adults than their wouldn't be any need to lock thought provoking threads.
