Why do moles bleed so much when you pick them off?

I got this one little fucker on the corner of my ear that I always seem to be picking at and fuck me does it bleed! It doesn't seem to want to clot all that well either. Anyone know why?

I hardly think so. Sounds like some of you guys have phobia of a little blood? Bunch of pansies. I always seem to cut myself so I guess it doesn't phase me. Just the other day I caught my thumb in my table saw...now that was gross. Fucking hurt too. I was lucky I pulled away in time and not too much damage was done or I wouldn't be typing here today
