why do girls lead you on...

that's like the best question ever asked on EF

I have no idea

I've had that happen to me but nothing recently, just when I was in HS. I thought girls grow up and stop doing that though

Its actually something im dealing with right now, and I really dig this chick so its very frustrating

Actually, you know what, I take that back.

They do it for validation. They can probably tell you're interested and like keeping you around even though they're not interested because it's good for their self-esteem.

You're doing the same thing every time you flirt with an ugly chick.

They want to keep you around "just in case". It's easy to prevent: don't "serve" women. If a female can't make some effort then she is no good for you.

Sometimes you're interested...and then something happens or comes out that makes you not interested anymore. Other than that, I dunno. :)

yep, they're not leading you on, they were interested then changed their mind

Thats what I think.

The best part of a relationship is before it becomes a................relationship.

Those warm and fuzzy feelings of anticipation and lust you know.

Because they dont know what in the Blue Hell they want......its not really intentional but aggravating in a serial murdering kind of way.

:)

casualbb is on the money

all about ego....how many times have you seen a guy try it on with a girl after she flirted with him, and her dump him but still refuse to acknowledge she's still stringing him along...

its all because he makes her feel like she's still attractive even if she has no boyfriend. it might besubconcious...but when someone asks you out and you say no you had better act like it

its even better when the wronged one (usually the guy) finds someone else, because then the girl feels she's losing her fall back option and then becomes a real attention whore :p

You are all acting like this only applies to girls... however, it's definitely a guy problem too.

Never been my problem......Im from the school of:

If you dont know WHAT to do, then do NOTHING.

I'd have to say everybody on this thread is pretty much right.

Depends on the individual & situation, but all are probably reasons why.

I've did this before but it usually ends up becoming more of a hassle than anything (trying to keep a chick around I'm not interested in)

We have a winner.

That's true but it is true for both sexes.

Especially married people.

HA!

Argeed, both genders are guilty of leading each other on, as well as other "crimes". It's up to the individual to rise above such behavior. Which can be rare.

We have another politician on board. There can be only 1 reason? hmmm. I like that philosophy, makes life a lot less complicated, even if it's wrong.

Perhaps it doesn't apply only to females but the percentages are pretty high on their side. Males generally know exactly what they want and don't require as much 'validation' as females. Nothing is more infuriating than the constant games, just say if you're interested or you're not.

Guys will string a girl along but usually only in the 'fuck buddy' sense i.e. they just want sex from the relationship while the female is looking for more. Rarely if ever do guys string a girl along when it's in the initial hookup stage. Either you're interested or your not....

because they don't have to do the asking if they did their attitude would soon improve. Too many men kiss womens arse's too much. Be dominant
