it's not, KB just likes to try to discount all that I say. He is like 23 and has not lived a life long enough to understand your question.

It's not about being insecure. Feeling deserving is a survival instinct. We all want more, better, faster etc.
I don't think we feel we deserve as much as we feel we want to "have better"
If this rational was not in place, better cars, housing, meds etc would have never evolved.

Feeling that you deserve better does not mean that you expect it will fall into your lap.

I KNOW I deserve better and I am busting my ass to get it. If one is waiting around for *the better* to fall from the sky, whether that is a better job, relationship, sense of self or something material, that person is in for a rude awakening.

entitelment is all relative though. People in tribes have feelings of entitlement for a better house, food etc.
