Why do bodybuilders have so many SEXUAL issues/problem?

fullybuilt

Don't even bother responding if your gonna say something like "I have no problems" or "Im hard as a rock on gear,etc..." Being a member of several diff bodybuilding boards, i've noticed many AAS/PH users have encountered numerous diff sexual issues varying from impotence to no drive, to taking too long to ejaculate,etc... Anyway I have a feeling there is something behind this, and not just low test levels. Sometimes when people are on too much test they get a loss of libido or erectile dysfunction(ED) and then the same happens when coming off a cycle as well. It seems that after messing around with gear or PH's your never really the same again. Even after test levels have recovered, there still seems to be something that has been effected. For example, I started messing around with andro's at 19 and started gear at 21. Even before gear, after a few andro cycles, about a year later with proper PCT I still noticed something was missing. I didnt have any ED but the lack of drive really wasnt the same as before I ever messed with my hormones. It seems that nobody knows the anwser to this. Everyone knows that during PCT, test levels are low and that causes problems, but i've talked to several people who after years and years of staying off everything, it just wasnt the same as pre- AAS/PH use. Even when test levels tested normal. I wonder if some other hormone or something in our bodys get effected when we mess with our hormones that could be permanent. Maybe the endrocrine system or whatever causes sexual attraction in males gets messed up when hormones are thrown off permanently. Any ideas other than the usual we hear?

Who loses libido effects on Test? When that happens you have a problem

Do you belong to any NON-BODYBUILDING discussion boards where sexual dysfuction is discussed as freely as it is here? Probably not. So why would you make such a broad generalization to state "bodybuilders have so many SEXUAL issues"??? You really don't have a clue as to what proportion of the rest of the population suffers from sexual dysfunction... you just assumed everyone else (non AAS users) must be normal.

There are more factors that effect our sex drive and our sexual performance than mere steroid use.

maybe just because we actually talk about this and bring it out in the open. i doubt there is any published study showing that bodybuilder have more or less sexual issues than guys who never touched a weight.

But on the flip side look how many men who never lifted weights or took prohormones or used gear AND HAVE sexual probs and issues. MILLIONS of men in the USA and globally suffer from sexual problems, whether it be impotency, erectile dysfunction, low libido, etc. etc. Just take a look how good Viagra is selling !!! Look at alllllll the herbal supps from all over the world claiming to improve sexual performance or cure sexual probs. SALES ARE BOOMING !!! So...... how does one explain the sexual probs with the general male population while at the same time pointing to BB`s who "use" and have
(so called) sexual issues ????

sexuallity is a man's livelyhood so why would they mess around with too much test when they know there is a dangerous side to it?

vanity??

I think that there are quite a few bodybuiders/athletes who never really come off completely. Some are not willing to sacrifice much in order to return to endocrine homeostatis. They think that 250mgs/wk of test is considered HRT when in fact it's just a low dose cycle.
Also what's the use of taking propper ancillaries to bring endogenous test levels back to normal as seen on their blood tests only to start another cycle 1 week later? :insane:

This is one of those "NO DUH" questions. I'm sorry, just like some of the above stated responses said, most people have problems anyhow - with or without aas/prohormones. You say when you were 21 you started having problems after. Who is to say even if you never touched gear, you'd still be having problems. Some guys just don't have the extra "umph" while others do. My libido sky rockets and levels out while on aas and decreases a bit from time to time. I've always had an extremely high libido and now that I'm 33, things are starting to slow down. It's what we call "aging." In all honesty, this is a stupid question that should be moved to the moronic section.

Im just saying that there may be hormones effected that nobody has studied yet. AAS research isnt exactly the first thing scientists have on there minds and its still somewhat relatively new. Especially Tren, which I've seen no human tests on.

its not really about too much test, its about throwing your hormones out of kilter, and suffering adverse effects when certain hormone levels fluctuate

if the person using the steroid is responsible, then the sides are quite manageable - worst case scenario, really, is just becoming dependent on hormone shots for the rest of your life, which many people seems to be advocating anyway these days. used judiciously, using AAS really isnt too much of a problem. personally i see it being just a bit more problematic than the contraceptive pill

as for why? yeah, vanity. insecurity. just for the hell of it. take your pick

you don't need to impress me by putting your life/health in danger, unless you are trying to save me... :qt:

nevertheless your effort is much appreciated and admired ofcourse ;)

in 2003 viagra was the best selling drug in the world.

while its true that sexual side effects may stem from steroid use, there are numerous other causes. Generally steroid use increases sex drive (with the exception of progestins- like nandrolone)

as a note- world fertility rates have dropped by over 50% because of environmental factors (mostly xenoestrogens).

sexual dysfunction and fertility are a global issue.

I have no problems after stopping steroids for 6 months, and I have been on for over a year without a break in the past. I don't feel like "somethings been affected" at all.

Dude, there's more natural people with sexual problems than bodybuilders with sexual problems. Most of the people you see in the streets are overweight with bad nutrition habits. That make them unable to keep a hard erection, unable to perform well in the bed, unable to last enough to satisfy a woman and they ejaculate just a few drops. Only steroid abusers and people bad informed about steroids could have sexual problems.

I DONT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS sure, when "on" there are notable sides, longer time to ejaculate etc... but no libido problems afterward when i'm clean.
don't stereotype everyone as having lingering effects after gear. YOU"RE the one started fucking with your hormones at 19-21 years old, what the fuck do you expect, you never even gave your body a chance bro. most of us smart ones waited for homeostasis, and then started experimenting with hormones.
i'll tell you again, even w/no pct the first few go rounds, i never have suffered any sexual problems. a lot of deca will supress urges , but that's all for me. and the extra test more than makes up for it.

First off I never said I had probs. It just takes a long time to bust and I don't have the "drive" I had at 19. I posted this ? b/c it seems that a lot of bro's do have "problems." Just do a search under a couple diff boards and i gaurantee you won't be able to read the amount of posts people have due to "problems."

No shit...i dont have problems eighter..if you have problems they can be treated...by modyfing your hormones....maybe you have too much prolactin, shb levels out of wack, estrogen, and a ton of other things. BOdy is complicated...point is everything can be right if you do it corectly....i for example sometimes get deca dick...but i correct it by asjusting the dose or using some testosterone or other compound. A few days later im good.

PS: Yasmina is that your legs and panties in the avatar? :)
If so maybe you can share some other pics with us bros who dont have the same problem as the guy who posted this thread. I for one must admit that i have a sexual problem. I cant get it down....one of these days im gona need to tie him down.... he saw your pic in avatar and now doesent want to go back :qt:
