Why Can't We Leave the Time Daylight saving all year long?

I mean I hate it during the fall and winter. I mean why do they put the time back an hour during the fall? The only reason I think is for kids when they leave for school so there is light. But other than that is sucks. i have never met anybody that likes it. Do we need to write our congressman to have it changed permanity or what?

The winter months are "normal" or standard time in alignment with Greenwich Mean time. The Day Light Savings time of moving an hour forward in the summer is to save energy.

Your question shouldn't be should we set the clocks back but should we set them forward and just stay there.

There was a campaign a few years ago called "Don't touch the Clocks" to do just this. No one really cared enough to get it rolling.
