The concept of "credit" in the global economy?

I've been thinking about it, cuz I saw a commercial for some credit report site saying how great the world was with the concept of credit.....


It really doesn't do any good for the general population.
I understand mortgages, houses cost hella cash. But why the hell do people charge things like gaseline or groceries??


On the plus side, you'd see cars selling for a LOT cheaper.

For some people like myself I use my credit card as a convenience thing.....

I can pay my bill online from my bank account whenever so it's easier than going to an ATM every time I want to buy groceries or something. I suppose this is basically the same thing as using a debit card, but I use a credit card to build my credit rating now

Cuz some people don't wanna always carry cash on them for every little thing. I do, but some people don't.
