my rhomboids sore when i did arms yesterday? i did back almost 4 days ago. my arms were yesterday and now my rhomboids are sore for some reason.
my rountine looks like this:

CG Bench
French Press
V Pressdown
Overhead Extension

Barbell Curls
Dumbell Curls
Spider Curls
Hammer Preacher Curls


its not that i dont mind the soreness, just wondering why?

holding your shoulders in place on curls. ive strained muscles in my upper back locking it so tight on curls. perhaps your overhead tricep work too, since they act as a stabilizer for the scapula.

I get the same type of thing. My front delts often get sore after biceps for example. Im sure its due to me raising my front delts and elbows during the movement, mainly on the heavy sets. I like this duel effect though. My delts are fucking greedy and seem to absorb any work they can. Overtraining my delts seems to have worked well though, cuz theyve overpowered my arms. So more training definately seems to be giving them more growth. Atleast in my case. My traps also get involved in alot of movements. They are also one of my best body parts. If anything its probabally a good thing. Getting some extra work in! Aslong as your blasting the fuck out of your biceps, tearing them up and really feeling that shit, Id look at it as an extra bonus.
 
agreed, i take a lot of volume like you to grow, so when my rhomboids got sore on arm day i was like what the fuck. i train very much like you and have abuild somewhat like you, although, i am only 185 lbs at 5'8". i agree with the way you train very much, nothing else seems to work for me. i do also incorporate 5x5 like you also. we have a lot in common, ill be posting pics when i get a digital in the next two weeks.

haha what ever works for you. big nate you like your 6'4" 260. you look huge. how big are you really? your profile says 185 but looks can be deceiving. you do 5x5? own routine?inform me
 
It could also be from the close-grip bench. I know the middle of my back gets sore a little from benching and close-grips, although that may be because I arch my chest up and my back contracts. I'd agree with the other guys on possibly just being from your rhomboids having to stabilize your shoulders to keep them from sagging or whatever.
 
yeah i use pretty strict form. i dont fidget that much, try to remain still and concentrate.

im doing 5x5 stuff right now, for the longest i trained a modified WSB. ive done it all actually. i did DC for a while with great results, but it was hard on my joints. i went to powerlifting and my shape reallly changed for the better. i like it now. i dont use more than 8 reps for anything but accessory work.

How do you like is thus far? Gains? Diet?

I started it with a few weeks ago and am LOVING it......
 
damn man, i guess im bigger than i think cause im the same height as you, same weight, and pretty low body fat. cause your huge in your avi, looks may be deceiving.i guess i just think im not that big cause im not at where i want to be. ive talked to people who are fucking huge and dont think they are big at all. oh well i guess i got used to what i see in the mirror everyday.
