Why are there so many criminals in the NFL,NBA ,and not NHL?

Because a higher percentage of black people are violent and criminal. Just the way it is.

The last stat I read on the population of black peeps in the U.S. was somewhere around 8%.

With regard to that statistic, given the population of white peeps, I'm going to assume you flunked math in special education.

Just a mere observation. Not a personal insult or anything.

hockey is expensive to get involved in no matter what level you're looking at. . .kinda shuts out the kids from the block. . .

I odn't know, but does this NBA trade seem way off to anyone else:

SEATTLE -- The Seattle SuperSonics acquired veteran forward Kurt Thomas and the Phoenix Suns' first-round draft choices in 2008 and 2010 on Friday in exchange for a conditional second-round draft choice.

so, Seattle gets Kurt Thomas (close to useless now) and TWO 1st round draft choices in exchange for a CONDITIONAL 2nd round draft choice and $8 mil. wtf.

Thomas plays one year and Seattle uses his salary cap space. Plus, they go from 3 first round picks to 5 picks over the next three seasons. The cap they had from this year was useless because there's no one left to sign who is good.

Not necessarily. I grew up in the northern-most school district of MI in a U.P. town (Calumet) with roughly 3,000 and it was encouraged to play hockey. If you go to school and you're not a welfare bum, you can play hockey. Hell, even a couple kids from welfare families ended up playing hockey. The geographic location surely had something to do with it, but that's besides the point of the thread. The kids from the block/ghetto/etc is part of a much larger issue.

My town was state champs in MI a few times in the 80's/90's btw.

I would never go to a hockey game either. Sportsfans, much like Jack Schitt, are largely morons.

a buddy of mine lives in erie, pa. . .he has three kids in midget hockey. . .his out of pocket investment for equipment, skates, sticks, bags, etc was in the thousands. . .then they make the traveling teams and you have overnight excursions to pittsburgh, cleveland, buffalo, rochester, syracuse, etc. . .sometimes he and his wife are taking the kids in opposite directions. . .it's fuggin' ridiculously expensive.
