why are Good Mornings so much better than SLDL?

i train w/ 2 groups...one group is a group that squats every week, benches every week, and does some type of deadlifting every week....

my other group i converted to a basic westside routine pretty much, w/ good mornings, floor presses, DE work...etc

so im not really on a steady routine right now.....so thats why im wondering (in general) which people have gotten better results doing.

looks like i'll be doing GMs so they can catch up to my SLDL so im not lagging as much.

The reason i like GMs so much is because of the forward lean in my squats (nearly gone!). one of the main reasons i choose them (apart from the muscle groups acctivated) is the similarity of a squat lean recovery. i feel it builds a lot of stability at the bottom of the squat...as well as my hamstrings and back.
