Each and every day I meet people in public settings, when I work I meet more. And each and every day I feel that many of the people I meet are completely braindead.... I think it is our culture that is the culprit. We have fast foods, junk foods, each of which after eating provides a nice serotonin numbness and basically fills the body with sludge...than there is televison, the other primary culprit, which is not only the absence of exercise for the brain, but the antonym of it, making it even worse than the equivalent of sitting around all the time for your body. Then there is the MTV pop culture, which basically completely instructs young people how to behave, which is primarily where you get wiggas, n'syncs, and all the rest. My generation is particularly bad. I see kids every day, and most of them have that heavy surfer/potheadish drawl and can't even grasp simple concepts.... '

It's really as if most everyone is under the influence of a light narcotic, and that narcotic is our culture; food, TV, lifestyle.

whats worse is i dont even have to meet people to know thier stupid. everyday when im driving i see stupid people. i judge people by thier driving habits, if they cant drive they are stupid.

liberalisation of the media but with no responsibilty

i.e. back in the days ultra-conservative values (i.e. dont have sex, dont dress up like a hooker when ur 13, respect your elders) worked in the majority of cases. it was by no means perfect, but any violence/teen pregnanies were on a much lower scale, not to mention any of those to be in that category were so heavily stigmatised an example was set.

nowadays peer pressure has pushed a 'norm' upon youngsters. 13 yr olds are putting lipstick on, wearig miniskirts, having sex unprotected, its being vomited upon them everyday by the media, mary kate and ashley are a good example, all these stupid teen mags, xcelebrities who these people look up to being knocked up by some 'musician' aka drug dealer, the guys see ghetto culture and rebel trying to emulate it and nothing is there to either try and teach them behaving like that is wrong, and consequently they carry that behaviour to adulthood and become the twits i see on my street corner

i think both scenario;s are wrong. the right think would be liberalisation of the media with some kind of responsibilty. instead of making thongs for under 18s andheavily marketing it, it might be nice for manufacturers to say 'hmmm, maybe we are agressivly marketing'. shit clothes manufacturers actually sponsor skate gangs etc nowadays to wear their clothes....to apply that responsibilty to the media too. all i see on TV is sex, drugs violence etc. it might be hard hitting and that TV is good but there is an appropritate time for that, and i think parents have grown to be irresponsible in letting heir kids stay up to watch it

io also think kids aren;t punished enough. detention....please. most kids dont give a shit. childrens prisons.....somewhere they can have a TV and playstation in their rroom. u wanna punish them, stick em oput on a farm and work them hard, or even in the city. they graffiti something, they clean graffiti for 2 weeks solid. they should break these fuckers down like they did in national service in the army ages ago. it will be the best rehab these guys ever had , i guarantee they will never do it again.

once hey are adults and can ACTUALLY comprehend rehabilitation u can be a bit more liberal and teach them compurter skills.trade skills in prison. as a youngster they are seeking boundaries and punishment. all i know is our society never seems to strike thatcrucial balance between libralism and conservatism IMHO

We have become SOFT, not Stupid
Soft looks like stupid in its actions

We Americans are very smart in inventing new and better ways to get even softer.

Yet you looooove Vin (a TOTAL made-for-the-MTV'ers actor), and want a buff bod.
You really arent that much different. Just cuz you eat healthy dosent make you some rebelious anti-establishment ground breaker.
