Who's watching the debates tonight?

How? That's easy to answer...We turn off our "critical thinking", we turn on our TVs...and we do the bidding of our media/corporate/govt masters while we feed our faces w/ Monsanto GMO foods and revel in the latest contestants on American Idol.

Heaven forbid should we scrutinize our officials and go to thomas.gov or opensecrets.org for voting records, yes?

I don't blame DC...I don't blame Wall st...I blame "us". Ron Paul has/had the answers...we chose to ignore the message and do what we're told by the media.

Don't you include me in that 'us' reference. I understand you mean we as a nation, but I refuse to take the blame for the incompetence of men I didn't vote for. Not that I think McCain would have faired much better, you don't inherit a pile of shit and turn it to gold overnight. But there are those of us still meeting in private offices across the country and bringing our message forth to local and state officials. We are fighting the fight, even if we know we are probably already knocked out.

I won't sit idle and watch conglomerate news outlets carry out the will of their own corrupt agendas. Fuck fox, fuck cnn, fuck msnbc, fuck them all.

I don't care if America is too lazy or uneducated to think for themselves, I am going to swim upstream.

It dawned on us, but it's been let go too far to save I think. Ron Paul was maybe one of our last chances to correct it, but media prevailed.

It's odd that before all this coverage and technology, we weren't doing too shabby, but now that everyone has an education available at the click of a mouse, noone wants it anymore. 'Jersey Shore is on, so fuck learning anything useful'...

no we been doin shabby for a long time homie, way longer than this country's even been around. Basically the shit just migrates from one empire to the next. The foundation for the next empire on the Asian continent is being primed. So basically when everything's been sucked dry here it'll head over there, that's how this shit works. It's going to be "exactly" like those cities that lost their sports teams "literally" overnight.....we're gonna wake up one day and our currency is going to be worth less than the peso. As soon as they see fit they're gonna pull the 1's and 0's, that cyberspace monetary mechanism which is the only thing giving our currency backing, and they're gonna shift it to asia.

Oh don't get me wrong, I agree, that's why I said it's been let go too far too long to save. I do think, however, that the dumbing down of our more recent generations through the mainstream media has sped up the process at an incredible rate. Just barely over 20 years ago Americans were led by one of the best presidents to ever hold office, and in the blink of an eye we're in the shitter looking at a complete collapse.

So back on the debate. Was a pretty unanimous decision Romney won big. BHO was unprepared and was in need of a teleprompter. I did not think it was that bad but when James Carvel said it was bad and then the CNN poll came out 67% to 25% I was a bit shocked.

So does this make a difference? Did the race just get tight enough or does this stupid electoral college already have it mapped out?

I don't think it changed much. Barry will still win and we're still fucked, and your vote still doesn't count..

You got that right. I am in Texas and 50% of the Republicans could not show up and Romney will still take the electoral. However, you people living in Florida (Annie), Carolinas (Nef) and Ohio (most of everyone else), your vote will be huge.

Yep, I'm a Texan as well, so I'm not going to waste my time. My vote would be a drop of water in the ocean...

Agreed on the mentioned states, especially Florida. Shitloads of power with that many electoral votes up in the air. Romney needs Ohio bad too..
