Who's been arrested?

Me twice. Never again. I'm now the flying straight and narrow. Neither were for serious crimes. By serious crime I mean crime in which I was sentenced to prison time. One a DUI and the other for a suspend liscense. But I have to say just a few hours in jail sucks.

I spent aboout 4 hours in jail. I was visiting my daughter and while we were playing my ex went to the neighbors and called the cops, saying I hadnt paid my child support for the month.Well they couldnt do anything about that (it was paid, just running late through the mail)but they did have a warrant for me cuz I missed a court date. That was the shittiest feeling, being dragged away in handcuffs while my daughter looked on.

3 times. Assault, soliciting prostitution and another assault case. Never convicted, clean record.

DUI IS SERIOUS!!!!!!!!!

NOT SOMETHING YOU SHOULD BE POSTING AS "NOT-SERIOUS"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MANY BESTFRIENDS HAVE DIED FROM PEOPLE WHO THOUGHT DUI WASN'T SERIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I didn't hurt any one and never did it again so it wasn't serious in my case. Also if it was serious in the manner of which I was speaking I would have been sentenced to jail time which I wasn't. Just fines and community service. Also my blood alchohol was 1.0 which was legal here just a year ago. But I am sorry to hear about your lost.

This is the only thread On elite that has been posted that offends me.

The charge of DUI is serious and when I find people drinking and driving The perp feels like he has just been in a wreck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ignorance Isn't Bliss In most cases!!!!!

Drinking and Driving is pure ignorance.

Any respect you "might" have had from me is gone.

Sorry to hear about your loss BigJay, I have lost a friend to a drunk driver as well and I have seen what it can do to people who's family members and loved ones have been hurt or killed in those type of accidents and it is something I would never wish on anyone

DUI...

I think that getting a DUI is such a normal thing these days that many people don't see it as serious. I don't think that "Show" meant to offend anyone. I know that many of my friends and family have driven home after having a few drinks. None of them were impaired, by any means, however they would have been over the legal limit or right at it if they were tested.

Agreed.

A DUI IS serious. DUI = you are in control of a deadly weapon with a high chance of killing someone with it.

Driving while drunk is the equivalent of shooting bullets into the air on New Years at TimesSquare and hoping they don't land on anybody.

a dui is so common that unfortuantly it is not serious, the penaltys are a joke compared to the damage it can cause, i have been arrestted 3 -5 times, but not for a dui

I'm sorry about you friends BigJay. But I really don't if you respect me or not. I respect myself and that's all that really matter. But I am also sorry to anyone who may have been offend my comment. The topic of the post wasn't DUI but since I talking about it for a moment now. Let me ask who's never it there lives gotten behind the wheel when they should have? That takes as little as 2 drinks in an hour). I know I have but won't do the shit again and that's a guarantee. Mainly because I know how little it take to blow legal. And if I the only one who willing to that say I've had a couple of drinks and gotten behind a wheel then I know some people here are full of shit. Also I know there are people who haven't. But I know it's something I'd never do again.

I would like to get back to the original topic. I'm curious whose been arrested.

I'm not an asshole by any means. I just vehemently argue that which is important to me. Keep that in mind if we ever disagree again... hehe

That being said, any tips for naturally regaining 5lbs and a fair amount of strength I lost after a month and a half of absence from the gym? =)

So you're calling him and me assholes. I'm guessing when more people respond to this you may be call them all asshole as well. I told you I was sorry for you but I guess you weren't hearing that. Remembr I didn't hurt anyone no matter what slant you wanna put on it. And it's something I no longer will do.

Not that I'm proud of these mind you I was young at the time assult on A police officer,Dui, i'v been arrested about 15 times in all on traffic violations lost my liesence for 5 years just got it back this year. It's amazing all the good stuff that happens when your sober:angel:

Uh.... I spent a couple of hours in the "joint" for contempt of court. I was in traffic court over a parking ticket and the judge was being a retard. I had photos showing that my car was about 25 feet away from the parking meter that I was supposedly parked at. Well the judge wouldn't throw it out. I asked him if he really went to law school or if he downloaded his diploma from the web. He didn't care too much for that comment.

I SUPPORT BIG JAY ON THIS ONE...SOME ASSHOLE DECIDED IT WAS O.K. TO DRINK AND DRIVE...WELL,THIS IGNORANT PRICK RAN OVER A 7 YEAR OLD KID,RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE,BACK IN 1992.I'LL NEVER FORGET THAT FOR AS LONG AS I LIVE.AND NOW THAT I HAVE A DAUGHTER AS WELL...I HAVE NO PATIENCE FOR IDIOTS WHO DRIVE UNDER THE INFLUENCE...WHETHER YOU SAY SORRY OR NOT.YOU DESERVE MORE THAN A SLAP ON THE WRIST!!!

PS:THIS PRICK I MENTIONED EARLIER...DID 5 YEARS FOR HIS CRIME...AND HE LIVES HAPPILLY EVER AFTER!!!

Not yet, and I hope to never be arrested ever! The only reason I might ever be arrested (if I carry on with my life the way I currently do) is for speeding on a motorway. No points on my licence yet either - but that is pure luck! :)

I had a brother who got hit and killed by a drunk driver and it still doesnt bother me when people drive on a few beers. I dont know why, same with my dad, he still gets shitfaced and drives home (he lives in Mexico)... Alcoholism is the worst.

never been arrested before...almost got arrested a couple of months ago. this is an amusing story.

i got pulled over at about 5am on a saturday morning on my way home. cop said i had a warrant out and i had no idea what it was for, but he was cool and wasn't going to haul me in because it was late and he was at the end of his shift. i figured out the next day what my warrant was for...about a year and a half prior to this incident i had gotten a speeding ticket that i had gotten a lawyer for. the ticket got dismissed and as i was leaving the courthouse, i crossed the street and was given a $50 jaywalking ticket. they had cops sitting outside the courthouse waiting to give people jaywalking tickets. omg i was so fucking pissed i wanted to take a big shit on the steps of the courthouse. so i took the ticket home and threw the shit out like a chick i was just finished tearing up. apparently the city of dallas never forgot about it because it turned into a warrant and almost got my ass thrown in jail. going to jail for jaywalking...son of a bitch.

a puke and an asshole hehehehehe cmon u can do better then that. i can respect ur position, at least ur not hypocrite

A drivers license is a privalege given to you by the state. If you abuse that privalege it can be taken away as fast as it was given to you.If someone killed your loved one and said they were sorry because they were DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE COULD YOU FORGIVE THEM?? HELL NO, the last time I checked saying your SORRY NEVER BOUGHT ANYONE BACK TO LIFE, SO YOU DESERVE TO GO TO PRISION OR EVEN HAVE YOUR LIFE TAKEN IN MY BOOK!! AN EYE FOR AN EYE

never been arrested. but, a few years ago I found that i had been indicted on two felony counts by reading an article about it in the local newspaper. of course this happens during finals week too.

that was fun.

(of course it was all dropped and expunged - i just wish i could have sued the pants of those involved in creating the false story).

You guys jumping on Show's ass need to read and re-read this a few times!!!!!!!!!

Here read it again :
Neither were for serious crimes. By serious crime I mean crime in which I was sentenced to prison time.

If you have never done anything in your life that you regret doing then more power to you.

Of course DUI is serious and Show knows this.....you took what he said and made it sound like what you wanted it to say.

And Celt........"I know that many of my friends and family have driven home after having a few drinks. None of them were impaired, by any means, however they would have been over the legal limit or right at it if they were tested. "
Read that and tell me.......why is the law the way it is? Is it because when people are at a certain limit they are impaired? Or are they the typical I drive better when I have had a few drinks people?

I'd like to thanks the who under what I was saying and those answered my question. Also I've been offended with lots of posts on this site but still come back for more. I guess I'm a glutton for it.

been arrested twice, no conviction, but I still have an arrest record.

For those that say that they have been arrested "but their record is clean", you will always have an arrest record that people can check up on. It doesn't matter if you were arrested for murder and released an hour later because they confused you with someone, your arrest record will still say that you were arrested for murder then released.

Driving should not be considered a "privalege" bestowed to you by the state in the first place. Taxpayers pay for the damned roads, so it should be their FREEDOM to drive on them. A drivers license is a neccessity for survival in this day and age and what is sickening is when the nazi ass government takes it away at the drop of a hat.

I am not trying to be antagonistic when I say that I think the legal blood alcohol content should be higher. BigJay, I agree that driving while IMPARED is fucked up. I was hit and damn near killed by a drunk driver when I was 9 yrs old., so I don't take this lightly either.

About the topic... I was in a holding cell for 10 hours in El Paso, TX in 1997 for getting caught bringing gear back from Juarez. Got a small fine, and let go. Nothing on permanent record.

haven't been arrested as of yet....For those who say you can't forgive someone who drives drunk or under the influence and kills someone you love, I'm here to say I did.

My uncle was killed in such a way, a girl I cared about, and a handfull of friends I grew up with that I cared about as well. It's something that could have been avoided but thats just what life delt those people.

I don't belive it's serious until someone is hurt. It's a risk that shouldn't be taken, but sometimes it is.....If you fuck up and get caught, take your punishment like an adult and move on. I have driven under the influence more times then I care to remember. I have never hurt anyone, and have an alcoholics digestion for booze. I've even passed 2 tests the DPS puts on to test for driving ability while under the influence

I forgot to mention the DPS was in a controlled environment with objects being thrown into the road and lots of turning and speeding up.

You're living on the edge. But I've been there so I know how it is. Getting behind the wheel each time is scary. If you can get your car shit together anyway try. In GA the penalties are really harsh for driving around without your shit being correct. I found that out the hard way.

Natymike, You are right about the arrest record but usually they will get rid of the file if it was more than 7 years old, especially motor vehicle stuff.Unless you killed someone you will not have a record, or at least a bad one? A DUI charge will in most cases stop you from being considered for a police officer position . That is a BIG NO NO with them and they look down on it very much! If you have had any records expunged you have to put it down unless you really think that nobody will look it up and you know the investigator or something to that extent.Nothing looks worse than putting in your application and then having them "call your bluff" and pulling out records contradicting what you told them and now you are a liar and your credibility is SHOT to hell and you leave with your head hanging down.Always make a copy of your application so in the interview you do not cut your own throat. I once wanted to be a cop but I quickly changed my mind as I have several ralatives on the job and the STRESS V.S the pay is just not worth it.THEY get no respect and even the good ones deeds get overshadowed by all the DIRTY COPS ACTIONS. The public gives them almost no support and I can make more money contracting overseas with some big company making $$ 70 to 80,ooo per year TAX FREE!! THAT IS JUST FOR DRIVING A TRACTOR TRAILER !!:D

Couldn't have said it better myself....No excuse for DUI...same thing as attempted murder!!!!

RYANH, What do you have against private gun ownership and also against the nra? I have a concealed weapons permit and have for years. My weapon is with me a lot of the time and no matter what area I am in. Do you own any firearms? I am just curious as to why all the nra bashing, please explain ??? We have the right to bear arms but the government wants to ban everything if they could but I will always have my weapons and I do keep them safely secured because that is an accident waiting to happen. At night my .40 cal is within arms reach and my wife knows how to fire it also.Safety is important but back to the nra???

I was *almost* arrested once. By almost, I mean I was in handcuffs in the back of a squad car while two officers were holding 5000 Valium tablets that was *found* in my car. For 3 years I had been selling one 5000 bottle per week to a friend who would meet me half way between cities to pick it up. It was cool, I was at low risk (not like I was selling on a corner), I trusted him, known him about 10 years (he was the one who incidentially trained me from 15 years old and intro'd me to roids and competition) anyhow, I was suppose to meet him, same time, same car wash, but he called saying he was with his girl and he wanted to grab it earlier after he left the gym.... so to make a long story short, we agreed to meet at a different place, which unknowingly to me it was a favorite hangout for male prostitiutes (the TARA parking lot - before you ask Ryan). He had been waiting and walking around the parking lot for about 20 minutes because I stopped for gas. I pulled up and parked, he came walking over leaned in the window, we were chatting, then all of a sudden BLUE LIGHTS. He looked up and tore off down the street, they never did catch him. They came over and was going to bust me for prostitution, but I told them I didn't know he was a prostitute, I just stopped to ask for directions (I still had an out of town drivers license then) I noticed the second cop looking my drivers window and his eyes got big and I immediately ended my explanation with "..and he threw something on my floor board" without missing a beat. The other cop held up the bottle and the handcuffs came out then. They kept me for about 45 minutes while they searched my car. They found a map and my school books and that convinced them that I was indeed asking for directions. Plus my prints were not on the bottle. (they dusted)

While I was sitting in the squad car, all I could think of was:

Why was I still doing this?
Was I addicted to making money that badly?
I never even spent the money I made the last three years. There was no way to spend that kind of money without raising eyebrows of the IRS and my parents. (I did take some awesome vacations though)
It was not like I was poor or needed the money, as a matter of fact, each week, I found it a hassle to have to take the cash to the safe deposite box and then set up someone to wire it to my offshore account.

I was lucky. I will keep my nose clean for the rest of my life now.

Jae.....at the Tara parking lot. LOL. Very funny story. That will teach you to ever go back to Tara for a drop off......:D

Rizzo: I don't want to make this thread the topic of the NRA. But, in short, there is no unlimited right to gun ownership in this country. The government does, in fact, have the right, to regulate guns, and the NRA has through its deceitful tactics done everything in its power to prevent sensible gun control legislation.

The NRA has a big role to play in thousands of the senseless deaths in this country.

But, they are losing influence quickly....the Democrats control the Senate again, and will soon control the House.

In sum: the days of unlimited, unregulated gun ownership is limited. So enjoy your guns, while you can.....................

LIVES ARE THE PRIORITY, NOT SOME EXAGERRATED RIGHT TO UNLIMITED GUN OWNERSHIP.........

Ryan the day your cronies come for our guns, or registration I guarantee you will have over Half of the country which legally owns guns marching on Washington Guns in Hand like a lynch mob protesting.....I would go so far as to say even the military wouldn't step in against something like that

Overnighter and $500 warrent for
a ticket that I got by the marine police.
Judge said that the boat dealer didn't take care of the registration paperwork and that I did what I was supposed
to do. Can I get that day back?

i have actually been arrested 4 times, but one of them i was not booked, and i still dont have a record, hehe.

First one was 5 minutes after i turned 16, that really sucked. Anyways, it was stupid, for trespassing on library late at night. Me and my friends were just walking threw.

Then for stealing, im an idiot.

The one that pissed me off the most. I got jumped with a friend of mine at school, and we started to beat the crap out of these kids. Sucked for them, lol. ANyways, cops jumped out and maced us, and there was no need for that.

The last one, i was actually bailing a friend out of jail late night and was waisted, went outside, pissed on the side of the building and a cop nabbed me. Didint book me though, just kept me in PC for 13 Hours!!!!!!!

Man as a police officer you see things that you wished never happened. And DUI is among these. Nothing compare to the face of a kid who's just lost is parents because of some drunk ass...... believe me man you CANT sleep for the next 2 days........ So for those who think DUI isnt serious, well FUCK YOU !!!!!!!!

Ah yes my facorite getting arrested story, arrested in a foreign country even. I was stationed in Korea ,me and a bud were getting back from a two week whore chasing extravaganza in the Phillippines. Needed a LONG cab ride to get back to Kunsan City. I THOUGHT the cab driver said "3000 Won" well about a three hour cab ride later I realized that I misunderstood him and he actually said "30,000" Won (about $45) well that was alot more than we had so we just stiffed the guy and ran into an American bar. He starts raising hell with the Mama-san bartender, she's raising hell with us, so the cab driver gets on his radio and in about 10 minutes there are about 50 angry cabbies outside the bar. So me and my buddy recuit about 20 GI's the the bar and go out there and all hell breaks loose..........so the Korean cops are called and they get there about 10 minutes before the American SP's which is BAD NEWS since everyone points their fingers at us when they say who started the shit. Let me tell ya bros the back of a Korean cop car is SMALL....even smaller when there is an enraged Kimchee cop stashing your face and body with his nightstick. By the time we got to the police station we were very beat up. They apparently didn't think we were beat up enough since they continued beating us in the police station-only there they were free to swing there clubs without being confined to the back seat of a car. After about 200 years (well it felt like 200 hundred years) the american SP's show up and are rather amused by our appearance and after discussions with the Kcops and cabbie we stiffed tell us that we have two choices.......we can either continue to enjoy the warm hospitality of the Korean Jail-or we can pay this poor cabbie his 30,000 Won. I'm incredulous,we are charged with inciding a riot, assault and battery and resisting arrest (that was a funny one,I assume they think it was resisiting when they attempted to throw me in the back of the car and my skull smashed into the door frame) and we could walk SCOT FREE if we just paid this cabbie his $45 bucks?? Damn who's gonna drive me to the MAC machine?? Hell we even got a free ride back to base even though a few teeth were loose, cracked ribs and jaw.....have to say it was a very fun trip. This was me later that night------->:p :p

Been arrested a few times, been almost arrested a million times. I wont go into what they were for but in one I decided to have a fight with 6 cops and I lost, duh.
I headbutted one and they gave me a real whooping back in the station.
Looking back I deserved every bit of what I got, Plain stupid.

My Husband was killed by a drunk driver....he was 22 ....and I have had to raise our daughter (she's 5 now) on my own ever since......One more thing....

The whole f/n show....I forgive you...everyone makes mistakes. Some are just bigger than others and unfortunately you never know how big yours is gonna be until it's too late.

This is sad .... and this is why everytime we caught a drunk bastard driving I would like to kick his butt at the police station....

The girl who did it was young....had just turned 20. I had a lot of say so on her sentencing and I had a choice of 2 to 20 yrs......I gave her a break....I chose 1 yr prison.....followed by 1yr in county jail in rehab program ....followed by 10yrs probation in which time she would have to:

1. Pay child support for my daughter of $100 a month.
2. Look at pictures of my husband at the scene of the accident and initial the front of each one.
3. Write a letter of apology to my daughter for takin her father away.
4. Submit to alcohol and drug tests and not be allowed to work around alcohol.

The child support wasn't for the $ it was more symbolic- that way every month for the next ten years she would be forced to remember what she had done there fore reducing the possibility of doin it again....The lookin at the pictures forced her to accept what she had done...If you don't see something for yourself then it is hard to accept the reality....and the letter was to accept responsibility for what she had done.....I thought I was very kind considering what I could of done.......

I was an idiot....she broke probation and has been on the run for over a year now. She has failed every drug test, never paid the child support and the letter to my child consisted of "I'm sorry your dad's dead. I didn't mean to hurt him". I know eventually she'll be caught and then forced to serve the 10 yrs of her probation in prison (what a dumbass) but if I could of done it all again I would throw the book at the bitch.

STAR, I hope they catch that woman and she will really be sorry because 10 years may be a long time but you lost your husband and your daughter lost her father and that is FOREVER! MANNY 78 , you must have some incredible control not to stomp that drunk S.O.B INTO THE GROUND! The stress you go through and having to tell the parents and restrain them, and all awhile knowing their loved one will not be coming back.......ME I couldn't do it. They should lower the limits JUST LIKE IN GERMANY and if the POLEZEI catch you drunk driving you are FINISHED and pray that the military police come for you !! KILL someone and you will be doing hard time and german prision is not like in AMERICA, CABLE MY ASS YOU WILL DO SOME HARD TIME AND HAVE LOTS OF TIME TO THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU DID!! AMERICA needs to crack down and crack down much harder than they have because LETTERS APOLIGIZING for KILLING SOMEONE is not enough!! MANDATORY SENTENCING and banning people from driving for life!!!

:(

Thanks for being responsible about such a SERIOUS thing.

I don't agree with drunk driving but you get your license taken away after drinking a couple of beers. Now if you get drunk after a couple of beers, something is fucked up with you.

That's just overkill. BigJay, you are being an asshole. DUI is serious but htere's no reason to get nasty. I'm sure there's plenty of stuff that Galen doesn't agree with you on.
