Hi I am setting up a gym management system for a small gym that I manage in the Caribbean I want to know who ever had experience in working in a gym could tell me what program did you use to create bar coded cards with picture taken. The program that I have do not incorporate in creating barcoded cards. What program do you use in creating ID Cards. And how you approach customers when their membership is expired and they still want to walk through the door and work out Iam tired of asking people to pay up their gym FEES,,,,,F()()()

regarding the second part....tell them it doesn't say "not for profit" on the door. you're there to make a living, just like they want to make a living. if they don't want to pay, perhaps they can do other stuff like clean out the showers, empty the garbage and clean up the machines.

as for the first part, what program are you currently using? how computer literate are you? be honest.

Just give each member their own number and take a pic of them and store the picture on the computer. Member just gives the number, and person quickly punches it in, and picture comes up proving its them. Thats how my old gym used to do it. I liked that system

I HATE membership cards. I'm always forgetting or losing the damn things. It always falling out of my pocket during my lifts. Or sometimes I wear short with no pockets, where the hell do I put it? Total pain in the ass.

And every time I get it replaced my gym charges me 10 fucking bucks! What a bunch of assholes. I've had to resort to punching a hole through the card and carrying it on my key chain. Now I walk around with this stupid card at all times. Sucks.

software app looks pretty good. i'd ask them for detailed info on how to install and set it up before purchasing it. sometimes the documentation is crap. better to see it before hand and clarify everything you don't understand before handing them your cash. also, i notice they have email support. ask them for a phone number as well. furthermore, ask them the names of supported bar code devices for reading the cards. this will allow you to do some price checking compared to what they're asking.

hope this helps.
