Hmmm.

I suppose if people wear to read this exntire thread and realize that each of their actions as a teenager casued some a reaction maybe some people would have behaved differently to some other people.

Sad really.

How easy it is to break someone and how easy it should be to lift someone up but how less frequent it is to happen at that age.

I`ve said many times before, that if I could go back to high school age and back to school, I would befriend all the "geeks" and so called "losers", skinny, "uncool" kids and SHOW them what life is about and REALLY change their lives. Just a little nudge can change someones life forever. I`M SO thankful that I found bodybuilding to give me confidence and personality that I have now. If it was`nt for that, who knows where I would be. That`s why I like helping newbies with questions about lifting and stuff whenever I can.

Sublime are you listening? lol Go eat!

That is very true......I've often wondered about that very thing...

That's why I have a very protective nature about me. I try not to fight their fights, but I will stand beside them.

I was a short, skinny kid who did his work then left. I played hockey and got fucked up for almost 2 years by bigger players. 11th and 12th grade I grew 6" and put on over 40 lbs, learned the power of squats and was known as one of the most physically dominating players. I had the ability to relate to the adults, and the players so I made for a good middle man between the two which got me voted as captain in my last 3 seasons [summer, fall, then spring of my 12th grade year].

School wise I always got A's, and it came easily so studying was never a problem. I had a high demand for structure and discipline which played a big part in my decision to enlist in the Marines.

I was known, but not popular like the preppy kids. I've only been out of school for 2 years and it's amazing how fat a lot of people got so fast. It brings a smile to my face when the prom queen gained 15 lbs and is no longer the cream of the crop who wouldn't give me the time of day.

i was a class clown with a temper, was an all-stater in track and field and could have gone to college for it, but i was just sick of running and practice and shit. I was a tall, scrawny kid that people liked to be around, but i had a horrible temper if you pissed me off even slightly...things havent changed much now.

i would've started lifting seriously, eating right, and making gains. if i would've done that then the right way, i would've grown a lot, and been more verbally and physically aggressive with people. oh well, i've just got to do it now. makes tracking down people that pissed me off during high school harder to find, but i'll get to them all some day. they'll all regret even looking at me funny by the time i'm done.

One good thing about HS for me was the gym teacher....Mr. Thompson got me into weight lifting and had me benching 100 lbs as a junior on the bench machine and got me into lifting free weights.....I was out of lifting for quite some time but now that I'm back into it I'd love to have him train me again. He's a bodybuilder now who has his own TV show around here and HUGE! I'm sure he could really help me with bodybuilding & diet.....
