I saw it Saturday. I think about thirty minutes into the movie, the words that came out of my mouth were something to the extent of "This is really gay." My opinion didn't change for the rest of the movie and all I really wanted to see at the end of the movie was Mark Wahlburg break down and have some apes break out some musical instruments and they go into an accoustic version of "Good Vibrations." He can be like "Come on Swing it" while the apes are swinging from trees and he's lifting barbells made of concrete and wailing on a heavy bag. It could be like Marky Mark and the Monkey Bunch. Just a thought. This guy shouldn't be acting. If he can do it, I could get a movie deal.
Anyways this movie blew a fat nut. Coming from Tim Burton I was hoping for this to be an extremely dark and disturbing movie but it was more like a real life Mon Chi Chi soap opera. The apes weren't evil enough and the battle scenes were kind of like watching a feces throwing fight at the zoo. Dumb. And all the while I was just sitting there wondering if Mark was going to break down and kiss the ape version of Helena Bonham Carter with tongue. Also the blonde in the movie(Estella Warren) who served no other purpose than T&A was a total piece of ass. I enjoyed seeing her well displayed rack through most of the movie, that was about the only thing I go out of it. Thank god all of the apes spoke English on the planet, what a rough script it would've been if they actually spoke Ape. Please list your thoughts of this retarded flick.
