I'm absolutely shocked at how many people are saying no.... It amazes me how many people in this country take thier freedom for granted so much that they wouldn't fight to keep it.

Freedom?

Freedom to wait 3 hours to get on a plane.

Freedom to be denied alcohol even though you're old enough to vote and go to war.

Freedom to be prohibited to use recreational drugs in the privacy of your own home.

Freedom to surrender half of your income to the government.

Freedom to get in trouble for hurting somebody's feelings.

Freedom to have all of your rights stripped if John Asscroft thinks you might be a terrorist.

Freedom to be forced to go to war instead of stay home.

Freedom? Riiiight.

There is NO justifiable explanation to turn your back on a call to duty from your country.

There's no justifiable excuse to stay home to learn, work, and raise a family as opposed to be shipped off to some fucking wasteland against your will to fight an enemy who poses a threat to your nation equivalent to that of an ant vs. the fucking Terminator? I bet you think anyone who didn't participate in the Gulf War was a coward, too.

Well guess what - I didn't give a fuck about Kuwait, and I don't give a fuck about Iraq, and if you wanted me to fight to help Israel against the Palestinians, I wouldn't give a fuck about them either - shit, I'd probably give less of a fuck if I had that option.

What am I saying?

Foreign soldiers parked on Miami Beach, unloading their guns, vehicles, artillery? Warplanes flying over FIU? Tanks driving up and down the Florida Turnpike? Is that the threat? Then even if all my bones are broken and I'm armed with a safety pin, I'll fight to the death... but Iraq...?

I meet a retired Marine the other day....was a 3 fucking war veteran...WW II, Korea, and Vietnam. Fought in all 3 wars, including 7 combat tours in vietnam. He retired after 34 years of service. WE OWE THIS MAN ALOT. He had 6 boys and 1 girl. He lost 3 boys in Vietnam, and 2 in Beruit (all Marines!!).....and they wouldn't let his only remaining son enlist. (soul remaning survivor.) TALK ABOUT PATRIOTIC....

Because they are not an immediate threat. What would Russia have to gain by sending Nukes over? NOTHING. You REALLY need to do you research on weaponery......by camel huh...good one...

And you need to do research on combat. You've been in combat before, haven't you? How good do you think our chances would be if you had to rely on civilians to watch your back? Are you good enough to be killing the enemy, AND watching your back for friendly fire, AND making sure some dumbass doesn't lift his head up? If you send civilians to war all you're going to get is a massacre. If our own enlisted forces aren't sufficient to wage war, then we shouldn't be waging war.
