My understanding, and this comes from a couple very reliable sources who decline to be pictured whenever they are interviewed by 60 MINUTES, is that there really is no George Spellwin. He is a fictional character created as an advertising gimmic, sort of like Joe Camel. (Did you know that there really is no Joe Camel?)
