Who Is Your Favorite Comic SuperHero?

SPIDEY all the way. He is just too cool from what he can do. Superman is fakey and Batman was just a regular dude with cool gadgets. Spidey is so sarcastic when yacks with villians. And after you play the game(PS2) oh it is bad ass you will want to be bit by a spider.

What about ya'll?
 
I'd say it really depended on who the writer was at the time. Batman was pretty cool when I was into comics. X-men were always cool. Green Arrow was cool too.
 
Not a super hero but i'd want to be the Invisible Man so i can unexpectadly be a pervert and watch people get changed, have sex, take a shit.....
 
The Badger. I always loved the idea of a mentally ill superhero.

For those who never saw it... Badger had multiple personality disorder. One of his personalities was a superhero. His other personalities were nutcases who weren't much to write home about.

anyone in a wheelchair or blind. I know that daredevil was blind... I think. and there was that dude in x-men that was in a wheelchair...
were any of them comatose invalids? then they would definitely be my favorite. I guess it would be a lot like that laugh riot movie "Johnny Got His Gun"... whoa boy... good times.
 
Wolverine or Silver Surfer- Spidey is a geek, plus I HATE spiders!!yuck, they creep me out. Snakes are less creepy- just a tube with a head. Spiders have too many arms.
 
Daredevil and Moon Knight.

DD was so interesting--blind, yet agile.

Moon Knight was the most underrated character who should have been successful ever. A goth hero, way before Sandman. The original series with Bill siekiewicz art was amazing.

Consider this: while other comics in the 1980's were ending with cheesy jokes and uplifting hero messages, Moon Knight was dark and brooding. He would agonize over how to help an IV-addicted hooker escpae her abuser, only to see her get shot on the last page while he's standing over her...then end. Happy endings?

Elektra - when depicted by Bill sienkiewicz and Frank Miller. Her recent series was pure garbage--shallow with no psychological tension, and just another cleavage-babe-with-a-sword hero.

Moon Knight's also the book where Todd McFarlane started to make a name for himself, I believe.

yeah that elektra series by frank miller was pertty cool.

and what mezzanine said, silver surfer was cool too.
 
I liked Daredevil (particularly around the Bullseye era); I liked Wolverine before he got so popular (around the time that he had that limited 4-edition series '82?); Batman was OK (Dark Knight); I liked the Thing for awhile, Hulk for awhile, Punisher was OK. Sgt. Rock was pretty cool -- liked G.I. Joe too. Cloak & Dagger was interesting.

Damn, I forgot about Ghost Rider- he was pretty cool. Iron Man was pretty phat now that I think about it- and Sgt. Rock was the shit. I like those old war comics that got real violent.

We did a lot of reading at the same time. I have all of the original Moon Knights from the early eighties. Daredevil was rocking at that time too.

Bill Sienkewicz and Doug Moench did Moon Knight. They also did Batman later (at least one of them did).

I am mostly a Marvel guy but I also enjoy a lot of the DC from the seventies. Batman was good then and the Superman Family and Batman Family mags were fun to read.

I just love comics, period.

My all time fave: Jack Kirby's Fantastic Four and Thor of the Sixties.
 
The Punisher. Period.

I liked him because he was exactly what all the others were not, just a guy with a bunch of guns and a chip on his shoulder.

loved the special weapons issues where he would walk through his arsenal with you. Still remember one line, "...the firepower may seem excessive, but sometimes you can´t get someone dead fast enough." Too right.

If I had to pick a favorite it would have to be THE HULK! The angrier he gets the stronger he is...got to love that.

Does anyone remember those old Marvel western comics? Two-Gun Kid was one of them. DC's Weird War Tales was good too.

The two best single comics I think are the Fantastic Four, when Reed Richards converts The Thing back to Ben Grimm and gives him some gloves he puts on to go back to being The Thing in an emergency, but will never be Ben Grimm again.

The other is Spiderman when he sprouts 4 more arms. He had pain in his sides all week, and then he woke up one morning and there they were!
 
Just broke out the Sovereign Seven series for another read.

I still have no idea why this didn't go for more than the limited run it did.

God I love comics...has anyone been reading the brought-back GI Joe and Transformers? Both are excellent books.

I loved McFarlane's run on Spider-Man and the Hulk as well as Spawn.

Another favorite of mine is Jim Lee's run on Uncanny X-Men and Whilce Portacio's too (some of the best work of Portacio's career I think.)

Punisher was good until a few months ago.

I liked MD Bright's stuff on Iron Man in the late 80's. (I always thought Mark Bright was underrated penciller.)

The CrossGen books are excellent. I recommend them to anyone interested.

Hell yeah! That's probably my favorite summer crossover of all time with the first Infinity Gauntlet (George Perez is king!) as a close second.

I'll never forget sitting there in my Dad's recliner reading when Angel got crucified trying to save the Morlocks. I was like in 5th grade but I'll never forget how powerful that scene was to me.

And then Apocolypse's transformation of him into the 4th horsemen "Death"...and eventually Archangel. Sweeeeet. That's why Apocolypse is my favorite villian of all time. He's just too fuckin' badass.
 
now I gotta go to my folks house and dig that stuff up. It'll be hard for anyone to come up with a crossover or storyline better than that one.

No shit, makes me wanna reread 'em too. I think Silvestri was doing Uncanny at that time...another reason to hold on to them.

Did you read the Age of Apocalypse storyline (around the end of 1999) when Apocalypse turned Wolverine into the Horseman Death?

He was one bad dude. Btw, I'm glad Wolvie finally got his adamantium back. The bone-claw Wolvie was a dog that just wouldn't hunt.

Anybody been reading Origin (the series telling Wolverine's origin?) It's been interesting.

I have a Ghost Rider Issue where Venom kicks the living hell out of him, his penence stare didn't work on Venom either, it just got reflected back at him.. Hulks beaten him anytime they've faught also

whoa, I missed out on a whole lot of stuff it seems. I might have to get caught on on X-Men at least, lord knows I need to start reading more. :)

Yeah Venom is awesome. I've always been a big Venom fan but I can't say I was too crazy about his offspring, Carnage.

Origin has been excellent but good luck finding a copy of #1...it has been going between $40 - $70 a pop and it was only released six months ago.

X-Men has changed a lot espcially the movie came out, I'm not sure if the long-time fans such as you and me would really dig the New X-Men. I'm not the crazy about it but I still buy it because I'm a hardcore X-fan, hehe!
