That's a good question.

The peeps that I got involved with all those years ago were not the kind of people that I would EVER get involved with today. The man was not a bad man, but he wasn't as great as I thought either. I suppose I fell in love with his internet persona, not the real man. Took me a long time to understand that. Not saying he was being deceptive. Just saying that there was a tremendous amount of effort that went into the persona for varying reasons.. He hurt my feelings tremendously, more than he will ever know. But that's a good thing I suppose. Helped me to put it behind me as I did love him so much. In the end, it was all as it should have been as he is happily remarried (from the last I was told) and now I am very much in love with a wonderful man.

I just wish that he would say he was sorry for being so cruel.

The other peeps... those that were "my friends"?

WERE ANYTHING BUT.

As for those that I met at promotions and events, I never really knew them but was happy to have been able to meet them.


I have a hard time allowing REAL TIME peeps into my life so I dont know if I would ever go the route where I would let internet peeps into my real life.

Everyone I meet will inevitably end up in a court document so I rarely get deeply involved with friends.

Recent events got me thinking about this thread again...

With all of the changes of the past year or so (good and bad), people coming, people going, how different would your answer be now, or would it stay the same?

It's all relative to the individual mostly, but basically I guess the person(s) you look for first when you sign on, The ones that know the most about you personally through the boards, if you are feeling down, the ones you know will understand or lift your spirits.....you know that type of thing, the ones that you can always have the best time or feel good just chatting with.

that's not to say i don't really really really like a lot of other people, but i talk the most to those 3.

I can def see myself hanging out with lots of EF'ers believe it or not.

Smurfy and I could go to American Girl then to a cupcake bakery
I could pick up ATW for a playdate with my kids at the park then to pet kitties at the pet store.
Silverstar and I could workout and go eat Sushi with our DH's. We would share a sitter
Pick3 and I would meet up at Starbucks to talk about boy troubles
I would def flirt with Alcatraz at red lights then drive away all innocent like
If Tatyana went to my gym I would be intimidated but I'd totally make friends
If Dial Tone lived in my town we would be friends I'm sure, heheh.


The list could go on and on I'm sure!

I think a lot of people here are cool, but right now I would have to just limit it to my top 3 peeps.

Curvy- cool Mom we would have a good time hanging out and pushing each other in the gym.
ATW- he would always keep me laughing and good to talk to.
Puddle- he and I would have fun giving each other shit all the time.

I have a lot of friends on ef. DG used to be my best of all friends. It took me years to find
a new one.

Only he knows who he is. Hell he might not even know yet.

An e-friend is very different than a lover, I would suppose as you come to expect more from them sooner. However, I found out the hard way, that regardless of how you come to view them in the beginning, if they ain't who they portray themselves to be when you call on them, does it REALLY matter?
 
I have one friend in RW and he leaves in 2 times zones over.lol

My problem is people like me way more than I like them..........the relationship just stales..........I just dont want it to go further. I pick out all there flaws and then just want to stab them.
