Who here uses a MAC?

I had to rebuild my damn Compaq 2.57Ghz loaded $4000 machine 2x this month! For that cash you would think it would work smooth. It’s not the hardware, it’s Billy Gates crap. Service pack this, update that, and then BOOM!

Here is my dilemma. G5 loaded with that kick ass monitor is about $6000. Hard to swallow but now look at the software that I have to buy/get for it that I “acquired” for my PC. About $5000 for my most used warez.

How hard is it to “acquire” MAC software…. No, I don’t mean walking into the local store and buying it either. Is it a bitch to locate off of Kazaa and other locations?

Kazaa has all the basic stuff.
Not sure what software you are refering to.

Like Maya, photoshop, cold fusion, code warrior and shit is on kazaa.

I assume you might mean games, which is a different story alltogether. Not many distributions for the mac as there are for the PC.

Hey, my buddy owns a MAC, and he gets ALL his software from Bit Torrent. Try using it, here's the site:

Try doing a search for it on google.com -- he tells me it's a lot better than kazaalite for finding stuff.

I hate looking for warez and downloading it in peices. When I buy copy software, I just walk a few blocks, go downstairs and someone hands me a catalog. 15 minutes after choosing my software (mac or pc) and paying, I pick up the discs outside of a restaurant a block away. It's practically free too.

I heard something this morning that just summed them up brilliantly. Macs make great paper weights, but lousy computers. I hate the damn things but will be using them for many many many years to come since I have decided that journalism is the profession for me. What have I gotten myself into? lol.
