mountain muscle's thread "Guns are good" inspired me. This is probably a repost but I don't give a shit.

I pack a Springfield XD Subcompact 9mm w/ 3 high capacity mags.

I don't know man. I've been drinking. A lot. You're going to have to be more specific.

Did I spell specific right?

I have a gun in my truck always, just haven't gotten the ccw yet.

An XD-45, A Kimber Pro CDP .45, an S&W .40 are usually in my range bag in the truck.

I have a bunch of rifles for hunting and sport shooting too, they don't come with me unless I am going to the range or hunting though.

I'll have to get my ccw permit in soon, though I most likely will not be carrying much.

Sweet. My state doesn't require a ccw. which is even sweeter.

only thing i pack is my lunch.

in a former life i lived with and by the gun.

i was shot through the liver with a 38. it put giant holes

in my diaphragms, lost my spleen and had the left lobe

of my liver removed. i got shot with a 22 in the leg and didn't

get medical attention. ( due to the nature of the incident,

i couldn't )

i had to shoot a couple of peeps and i've seen other die from

gunshot.

i'm all for the right to bear arms but i've had my fill.......

some would think...

but in the past i was involved in criminal activity.

now i am non violent husband and father of four.

i'm a really big guy and a VERY proficient fighter

and the only way most would stand a chance is

to *snipe* me. i wouldn't do anything unless my

family was threatened. not to mention i'm a convicted

felon and can't legally own a firearm.

thats shitty bro. The not legally thing I mean. At least you're a good ass kicker though. Thats a decent consolation prize.

i don't pack anymore... no matter what i did i'd always trip over the nintendo cord... or when shit went down the cord would always get unraveled in my pants and would take forever to pull out.

I am probably the most militant mutherfucker here. I do not own a gun though. Times have changed though. Too many people are getting shot here. I have been jogging at night since I was 15 years old. After a recent post here I stopped because a good man got gunned down here in Norfolk Va the past week. Once I discuss it with my wife, if she agrees, we are going shopping.

cant help it i was raised around hunting....

i fucking hate it now....

i was hard as nails though. i was wearin my BBV on my walk to the bus stop every morning since

I have a couple guns in my truck and one in my car....but I don't know what they are(I is PREtarded). But I know how to use all of them.

"I have 2 cans of mace. 1 for each 1 of you"..... Biteme's version of Tombstone

These are in my hall closet.
I have shot them but don't know what they are....so don't know if they are cool or not.

Every member of my family has owned and carries a gun except for me and my sister.

Neither my husband nor I own any guns for the moment. My husband is quite knowledgable and proficient with all sorts of weapons. LOL I have always been afraid of guns.

Now that I live in the state of Texas I am seriously considering learning how to properly use firearms and purchasing them. I do believe that there is nothing scarier than a gun-owner who is afraid to use one. If you pull that bastard out, you had better be prepared to pull the trigger. I won't purchase one unless I am DEAD SURE that I would. I will also teach my daughters how to properly handle and shoot guns.

I wasn't always of this opinion. But with the events of my life I am rethinking my previous stance.

Both my husband and I are very non-violent people but there is NO DOUBT in my mind that he could easily kill any motherfucker that threatened us. I would like to learn to be of the same mindset.

I have an old Ruger .357 in the car always.
When I ride my scooter I carry a Glock 30 concealed.
On my main job I carry one on the hip always - now a Glock 21.
On my part time job I always carry one concealed - either a Glock 30, or a Kahr PM9.
Occasionally on either job I'll back up the primary weapon with a concealed one.
I rarely carry in my personal life, when I'm not in a vehicle.

Carry or home protection? I have both. Both Glock .45's, but different models. We have a Bennelli Super 8 shotgun for home too.

i live in the uk where you're not allowed guns. i have to make do with the good old trusty flick-out cosh, you know the one that is a handle of about 6 inches, flick it and its the perfect weighted metal baton for breaking arms/legs/heads
id rather this than shoot someone. then again if that someone had a gun id be pretty fucked.

I don't know if I'd ever want a carry permit. But I am thinkin more and more I DO want firearms in my home and EVERYONE who lives here will know how to use them properly.

I have been told by women who regularly shoot firearms that it brings a tremendous feeling of power and control. <--- that is VERY appealing to me.

NO WAY!! I would have never guessed...

The pic is kinda small. A .38 auto and a 380 maybe? Not sure .Pretty cool chick guns.

I have a 357 that I used to CC when I was younger. Never bring it anywhere anymore. I have a 12 guage double barrel for home protection but never have it loaded. I havent shot anything but my 50 yo single shot 22 rifle with my son in the back yard at a can in the last 10 years.

I have a small .38 I keep with me in my backpack almost all the time. If I am going on a long trip it's either my glock 9mm or my s & w .357 mag.

My house is protected by a shotgun, home defense model extended tube. 7 and in the chamber and specific home defense shells. If you are in my house you had better be invited. :)

In todays world especially if you live in a large city, it's foolish to not carry.

what did you put in your ass??? :worried:

i was doing a little trespassing. . .farmer's daughter. . .running away in the dark. . .shot in the ass. . .emptying out shotgun shells and filling them with rock salt to be fired at unwanted visitors is a pretty common practice in the sticks. . .

He was seasoning your ass...

People have really never heard of rock salt loads?

digimon7068 said:
it smarts. . .

I've just seen it used to "scare" away varmits and what not or to scare off stray dogs. I think the table salt one might be best for that as it won't wound as bad but still get the point across. I would like to get a tazer gun though.

That is a seriously ghetto way to do it.

In grade school I was taking apart shot shells and taping a steelie to the primer and throwing them in the air for shits and giggles.

good lord! man. . .i'm glad none of my knucklehead friends (or me) thought of doing that. . .crikey. . .

ummm. . .yeah. . .that pretty much describes me (and most of my friends) when i was in high school. . .

i just re-read this and noticed the "taking apart" part. . .yeah. . .that's a little more sane. . .otherwise it would just be a miniature claymore :worried:

Lol I was in grade school when I was doing that. Yeah not the smartest thing to do. I quit when a plug went right over my head .

I guess I shouldn't tell you about prying bullets out of 30-06 shells and... nevermind lol.

we threw live shotgun shells in the burning barrel. . .bb's and all. . .fucking st00pid. . .but fun at the time. :)

I don't carry all of the time; just depends on the environment I know I'm going to be in. Right now it's the Taurus .45, but it's a bit bulky at times so I'll probably change it up with either a Glock .40 or a Springfield XD .40S&W later this year. DAMN IT! Now I'm drooling through the Springfield website again.

Go with the Springfield. The trigger saftey is nice. Plus I just like the feel and the way the weight is distributed. It just fits my hand well. Really loud for a 9mm though. But I guess all sub compacts are.
