I, personally, like a strong-willed man that I feel I have to constantly "work" for. My current boyfriend is very sweet and attentive (breakfast in bed, painting my fingernails, etc...) but at the same time, he is not "all up on me". So, I continue to realize that I have to keep him interested.....which I like....

I like to know that a man isn't dependant on me and that he is with me because he chooses to be with me - not because he is "whipped"....

You can show a girl that you are interested and that you would do anything for her without losing your own integrity.

Seriously man...you can worship your woman. Treat her like a princess without being whipped. Just stay true to yourself. Personally I wouldn't go near a man who was not my emotional equal. That means we both do sappy-ass sweet things for each other and dote on each other a little but neither of us loses our identity in the relationship. But when being approached by someone and in the early stages of dating, I prefer someone who can "play it cool" yet still show that he's sensitive to my preferences and attentive to my needs, because I would be doing the same.
