I'm trying to cut off fat as fast as I can and I realize I'll be losing some muscle doing it quickly, but fat loss is my main goal. I'm about 10-11% right now, and want to get down to 7-8%. I'm around 165 lbs at 5'6" (small but i'm just starting to get into BB). Anyway, if I go on a 1000 calorie diet per day of all protein and green veggies and do no cardio, or I go on a 1700-1800 calorie diet per day and do a lot of cardio, which would preserve more muscle?
