Which workout plan would be most beneficial?

I work from 9:30 – 7:30 on most days. I plan on doing one workout about 6:00 a.m. and again at 8:00 p.m. My gym is really busy from about 4:30 p.m. until about 9:00 p.m. so cardio would be easiest at that time since I won’t have to wait for equipment. Which option would yield the best results?
Option 1: Cardio and abs first thing in the morning (6:00 a.m.) and do my workout after work (8:00 p.m.).
Option 2: Workout first thing in the morning when the gym is not too busy and come back after work for cardio and abs.
My goal is basically to loose some weight and gain muscle in the same process. I figure if I space out my workouts by 10 hours or so that goal should be achievable.

Any thoughts?
