Research shows Iso-Whey and Whole-Whey peptides absorb at almost the same rate. There is really no need to choose and iso or whole whey in the morning or night. Post workout is the only time it may be beneficial. The difference in peeking time is about 20minutes. Will this make a difference in the long run. No!
STUDY BREAKDOWN:
The participants in the study fasted for 12 hours prior to taking either, whole enzyme protein (WP) or hydrolysate protein (HP) and the blood level of the protein were compared over several hours. The report shows the HP group did absorb more quickly than WP group in the initial hour. However, over the course of 3 hours levels were almost even. As Crane and Neuberger note, after 2 hours urinary ammonia (protein) decreased to about 50% of their maximum value. According to Crane and Neuberger 1960; the experiment indicate WP and HP absorption rate is more or the less the same. However they do note the HP was slightly faster peeking around 20-40minutes opposed to WP peeking around 1hour.
